    摘要: An optical image-recording material comprising:(a) microcapsules, in which at least one leuco dye capable of forming a color by oxidation and at least one photo-oxidizing agent are enclosed together, and (b) at least one reducing agent not enclosed in the microcapsules, or(c) microcapsules, in which at least one reducing agent is enclosed, and (d) both at least one leuco dye capable of forming a color by oxidation and at least one photo-oxidizing agent not enclosed in the microcapsules,wherein the microcapsules have capsule walls made from a material which lowers its permeability barrier to at least one component selected from the photo-oxidizing agent and the reducing agent when the capsule wall material is heated above its glass transition temperature, and the leuco dye is a xanthene compound having an N-substituted anilino group substituted by an electron attracting group.

    摘要: A process for preparing a color developer sheet for pressure-sensitive recording is disclosed. The sheet is comprised of a coating solution on a support, said coating solution being prepared by dissolving an aromatic carboxylic acid metal salt in an organic solvent and then emulsifying the resulting solution in water. The organic solvent is such that the viscosity of a 50% by weight solution of the aromatic carboxylic acid metal salt in the organic solvent falls within the range of from 200 to 4,000 centipoises. This color developer sheet shows a high color-forming rate and its coated surface is free of irregularity and includes a consistent amount of coating material.

    摘要: In a process for hardening microcapsules produced by microencapsulating hydrophobic oil droplets using a complex coacervation process with gelatin as one of the hydrophilic colloids: including the steps of1. emulsifying a water-immiscible oil in an aqueous solution of at least one first hydrophilic colloid ionizable in water and admixing an aqueous solution of at least one second hydrophilic colloid having an electric charge opposite to that of said first colloid,2. causing coacervation of said colloids to occur by adding water thereto or adjusting the pH thereof to form coacervates,3. cooling said coacervates to cause gelling thereof,4. adjusting the pH to alkalinity and adding a hardening agent sequentially or simultaneously,5. increasing the temperature so as to cause hardening, the improvement wherein glyoxal or glutaraldehyde in combination with formaldehyde is present during step (4).
