    摘要： The MFP includes an EEPROM storing display screens, and a display control portion to read a display screen for display on a display portion. When a first area in the display screen includes a variable display item for which an arbitrary number of data pieces are displayed, the display control portion acquires the number of data pieces to be displayed therefor, changes the size of a field for the variable display item based on the acquired number of data pieces, determines the size of a second area based on the size of the first area after the size change of the variable display item field and the size of the display area of the display portion, and modifies the read display screen to a display screen having the first area after the size change of the variable display item field and the second area of the determined size arranged therein.

    摘要： A remote control system includes a PC and a MFP capable of remotely controlling an external device. PC includes a browsing portion to receive an operation screen from the MFP, a display control portion to allow a projector to project the received operation screen onto a projection plane, and a position detection portion to detect a position pointed to by a user in the projected operation screen. The browsing portion transmits to the MFP a command which is included in the operation screen and is related to the detected position in the operation screen. The MFP includes an operation screen transmission portion to transmit to the PC the operation screen, including a command for specifying control, for accepting an operation, a command reception portion to receive a command transmitted from the PC, and a process control portion to control the external device or the device itself in accordance with the received command.

The image forming apparatus comprises a detection part for detecting a state change of a hardware operating member in an operation part of the image forming apparatus and a transmitting part for transmitting screen control information in accordance with the state change detected by the detection part to the remote operation apparatus. The remote operation apparatus comprises a display part for displaying a simulated image representing the detection part of the image forming apparatus, a receiving part for receiving the screen control information, and a display control part for changing a first image which is the simulated image displayed on the display part before the state change into a second image which is the simulated image in which the state change is reflected, in response to a receipt of the screen control information.
