摘要:
An optical fiber cable is comprised of: a slotted core (7) elongated along an axis of the optical fiber cable, the slotted core including a slot (11) running in parallel with the axis and a groove (5) accessible through the slot; one or more optical fibers (3) placed in the groove; a sheath (9) enclosing the slotted core and the optical fibers; a bonding portion (15) where the slotted core is bonded with the sheath; and two or more strength members (17) embedded in the slotted core, the strength member running in parallel with the axis, and being aligned on a plane including the axis.

Provided is an method of manufacturing an optical fiber tape core wire with which, even when the optical fiber tape core wire is separated into optical fiber wires, it can be determined which optical fiber tape core wire each optical fiber wire is associated with. A fiber running length adjustment device 13 adjusting the running lengths of the optical fiber wires 2 running from printers 8 (8A to 8D) to a tape forming device 11 is used to adjust the running lengths of all the optical fiber wires 2 between the printers 8 and the tape forming device 11 to a same length. By this adjustment, markings 6 formed on each optical fiber wire 2 (2A to 2D) can be aligned with the corresponding markings 6 formed on the other fiber wires 2 to the same position.

A cable wherein even when there is a substantial volume of cable identifying information for identifying the cable, all of that cable identifying information can be simply and speedily written-in. This cable has a cable core, an integrated member with a chain of RFIDs including a plurality of RFID elements arranged at suitable intervals along a longitudinal direction of the cable core, to and from which cable identifying information can be written-in and read-out by transmission of electromagnetic energy, and a transmission coaxial cable for collectively writing-in cable identifying information to all of the RFID elements.
