摘要: A hybrid welding apparatus for subjecting a base metal to gas-shielded arc welding and laser welding comprises a laser generator for emitting a laser beam and a condenser optical system for condensing the laser beam to laser weld the base metal. The condenser optical system includes a plurality of lenses, each having a hole portion in the center thereof. A tubular supply holder for supplying a welding wire is passed through these respective hole portions of the lenses and located substantially coaxially with the axis of the condenser optical system. The laser beam and welding wire to be applied to the base metal are arranged coaxially, so that laser-welding and arc-shielded welding can be simultaneously performed with a wide angle between the welding head and a bevel of the base metal, thereby deepening penetration of the weld at an increased welding speed.

摘要: A polygon scanner has a lighter rotating shaft on which a polygon mirror is mounted, to prevent a positional deviation of the polygon mirror from the rotating shaft in high speed rotation, in which the rotating shaft is supported through a dynamic pressure air bearing on a fixed shaft, in which the polygon mirror and motor constituent members are mounted on the rotating shaft, and in which the rotating shaft and the polygon mirror are made of respective light weight materials matched with each other in coefficient of thermal expansion, for example of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. Further, an anodic oxide film is formed at least on a portion where the rotating shaft could contact with the fixed shaft, and floating means is provided for constantly floating the rotating shaft relative to the fixed shaft upward in an axial direction thereof. A process for producing the polygon scanner comprises making a predetermined masking on a portion where the rotating shaft could contact with the fixed shaft, prior to an anodic oxidation treatment to form an anodic oxide film on the portion, and then performing the anodic oxidation treatment, whereby, during the treatment, forming an anodic oxide film and a pattern of recesses and protrusions for dynamic pressure generation corresponding to a pattern of the masking, which are constituent elements of a dynamic pressure air bearing.

摘要: An acrylic-fiber finish for use in carbon-fiber production contributes to high tenacity of resultant carbon fiber. The acrylic-fiber finish for carbon-fiber production includes an epoxy-polyether-modified silicone and a surfactant. The weight ratios of the epoxy-polyether-modified silicone and the surfactant in the total of the non-volatile components of the finish respectively range from 1 to 95 wt % and from 5 to 50 wt %. The carbon fiber production method includes a fiber production process for producing an acrylic fiber for carbon-fiber production by applying the finish to an acrylic fiber which is a basic material for the acrylic fiber for carbon-fiber production; an oxidative stabilization process for converting the acrylic fiber produced in the fiber production process into oxidized fiber in an oxidative atmosphere at 200 to 300 deg.C.; and a carbonization process for carbonizing the oxidized fiber in an inert atmosphere at 300 to 2,000 deg.C.
