摘要： Toner particles fly off from a photosensitive drum to an exposure light emitting portion by a change of electric potential distribution on the photosensitive drum caused by image exposure in a following process. This causes a poor copy of an image by adhering the toner particles to the exposure light emitting portion. This phenomena affects a tandem type of copiers with multi-stations including photosensitive drums and exposure light emitting positions. An apparatus capable of suppressing toner adhesion to an exposure is provided to solve the above problem.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member which is movable; an electrifying device which makes contact with the image bearing member and electrifies the image bearing member; a developing device for developing a latent image on the image bearing member by toner; and an abutting member which is provided on a downstream side in a moving direction of the image bearing member with respect to the electrifying device and the contacting portion of the image bearing member and abuts against the image bearing member. The image bearing member, electrified by the electrifying device, is exposed to have the latent image formed thereon, a toner image formed on the image bearing member by the developing device is transferred to a recording material, and the developing device recovers residual toner on the image bearing member after transfer.

摘要： An apparatus for developing an electrostatic latent image includes a first developing agent application device and a second developing agent application device disposed facing the peripheral surface of a photosensitive material drum, a developing agent stirring/conveying mechanism for conveying the developing agent to the first developing agent application device, a magnetic conveyer disposed at the back of the second developing agent application device, and a developing agent return guide plate for sending the developing agent conveyed by the magnetic conveyer to the side of the developing agent stirring/conveying mechanism. The second developing agent application device is provided with a developing agent-peeling zone where magnetic poles of the same polarity are magnetized neighboring each other on the upstream side of the position which is closest to the sleeve member of the magnetic conveyer in the direction of rotation. The magnetic conveyer has a magnetic pole at a position facing the developing agent-peeling zone. The magnetic pole has a polarity opposite to that of the polarity of the magnetic poles forming the developing agent-peeling zone.

摘要： An image forming apparatus having a print head that reciprocates along a guide rail includes a carriage on which the print head is mounted. The print head is supplied with ink through a tube from an ink cartridge that is arranged outside the carriage. The carriage includes an engaging portion that slidably engages the carriage with the guide rail, an urging portion that presses the guide rail against the engaging portion, and a base portion on which the urging portion is mounted. The urging portion includes an elastic member that is in contact with the base portion at one end thereof, and a wedge-shaped member that is connected to the other end of the elastic member and urged in a direction in which the guide rail is pressed against the engaging portion by the elastic force of the elastic member.

摘要： An image forming apparatus having a print head that reciprocates along a guide rail includes a carriage on which the print head is mounted. The print head is supplied with ink through a tube from an ink cartridge that is arranged outside the carriage. The carriage includes an engaging portion that slidably engages the carriage with the guide rail, an urging portion that presses the guide rail against the engaging portion, and a base portion on which the urging portion is mounted. The urging portion includes an elastic member that is in contact with the base portion at one end thereof, and a wedge-shaped member that is connected to the other end of the elastic member and urged in a direction in which the guide rail is pressed against the engaging portion by the elastic force of the elastic member.
