    摘要: There is provided an input device using a touch panel allowing input operations to be performed without viewing an input surface. The input device includes a transparent capacitance-type touch panel (12) formed in the shape of a dome, and a liquid crystal panel (14a) disposed on the back side of the touch panel. The position detection processing portion (20) applies predetermined voltage to four terminals (T1 to T4) of the touch panel, and detects current flowing via each terminal to detect the coordinates of a point on the touch panel operated by the operator's finger (100) based on the detected current value. The data processing portion (30) causes a liquid crystal display device (14) to display an operation screen, including graphics, symbols, etc., which correspond to inputtable operations, based on a status signal Sst from electronic equipment in which the input device is used, and the data processing portion determines the content of an input operation performed by the finger pressing the touch panel, based on a position signal Spos indicating the coordinates of the operation point and the status signal Sst. The present invention is suitable for input devices using a touch panel.

The sensor control circuit (23) causes a scan operation, in which the sensor output readout circuit (21) is sequentially connected to all of the sensor electrodes of the touch sensor unit (7) and outputs the signal voltages, to start after the common voltage has switched from a first polarity to a second polarity, and to end before the common voltage returns to the first polarity.

    摘要: A coordinate inputting apparatus has a separating circuit, a cable and a position indicating pen. The separating circuit has a low pass filter for removing an alternating current component from a signal transmitted to a signal line and a band pass filter for passing only a position information signal in a predetermined frequency band with respect to the signal transmitted to the signal line. The cable is constructed by a signal line, a switching signal line and a ground line. The signal line is used to supply power to the position indicating pen and transmit a detecting signal from the position indicating pen to each of an X-coordinate detecting circuit and a Y-coordinate detecting circuit. The position indicating pen has a low pass filter for removing an alternating current component from a signal transmitted through the signal line and a band pass filter for passing only a position information signal in a predetermined frequency band. A signal transmitting system of this coordinate inputting apparatus and other coordinate inputting apparatuses are also shown.
