The projector includes a housing 20, a first screen fixture 74 and a second screen fixture 76. The housing 20 has an opening 30 for fitting the first screen 50 therein. The first screen fixture 74 positions the first screen 50 in the housing opening 30 and fixes an inner surface of the first screen 50 adhesively to the housing 20. The second screen fixture 76 is positioned between the first screen 50 and the first screen fixture 74, and fixes the second screens 54 and 56 between itself and the inside of the first screen 50.

    摘要: As regards a surface light source device for use with back-light or the like of a transmissive display panel, the efficiency of the cooling structure for the device will be improved and dust and dirt will be prevented from adhering. The surface-light source device has a housing, a diffuser panel, a reflective plate, lamps, and an electric circuit portion. The housing has a window portion located ahead, a base portion located behind and side portions forming a flat space by connecting the two. The diffuser panel is mounted to the window portion of the housing. The reflective plate is supported by the side portions and partitions the flat space into a closed space ahead and an open space behind to be interposed therebetween. The lamps are housed in the closed space, and are positioned right above the reflective plate and right under the diffuser panel to radiate light toward the diffuser panel. The electric circuit portion is housed in the open space, and is electrically connected to the lamps to light them up. On the side portions of the housing, there are formed openings, through which cooling air supplied from outside is introduced into the open space to diffuse heat accumulated within the housing.

    摘要: An armor cabinet of a projection type display unit includes a base cabinet on which main component parts are mounted, and a top cover made from sheet metal which is mounted so as to cover the base cabinet, wherein a rear face portion composed of the top cover is formed in the shape of a curved surface being laid-down U-shaped in side view. At the time of carrying the projection type display unit, the rear face portion in the U-shaped curved surface shape is just fitted to the palm on an ergonomic basis, and the grip can range to the fingertips, so that the rear face portion can be gripped assuredly and securely even with one hand. On the back side of the top cover, bosses are integrally formed by use of a resin which is a different material from the sheet metal of the top cover, and the base cabinet and the top cover are fixed by fastening screws to the bosses from the base cabinet side.

    摘要: In an LCD projector or other projection type display apparatus which uses a lamp such as a xenon lamp for a light source, the lamp is cooled efficiently without increasing ambient noises or without causing the whole apparatus to become large-sized, and at the same time the lifetime and the reliability of a fan which cools the lamp is made improved. When fans 3 and 4 which are disposed on a front side of the lamp mounted with a heat sink 1 rotate, external air of ordinary temperature is taken inlet and guided into ducts 5 and 6 so as to be blown onto the front face of the lamp by means of the fans 3 and 4. Then, high temperature air which was warmed by being blown onto the lamp is exhausted from an outlet to the outside.
