    摘要: A compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp has an arc tube in a double-spiral configuration, the arc tube being formed by bending a glass tube around an axis of spiral up to both ends of the glass tube, and a holder that is made of resin and holds this arc tube. Electrodes, each being equipped with a filament coil, are sealed at respective ends of the glass tube. The holder is made up of a holding resin member with a cylindrical shape having a closed bottom and a resin cover in a cone shape, the holder including a circumferential wall and an end wall that is at the edge of the circumferential wall. A heat-dissipating plate is provided inside the holding resin member, at a position corresponding to where the filament coils within the glass tube are.

A light-bulb-shaped fluorescent lamp which has high conformity to regular light bulbs and realizes the same brightness as a regular 60 W light bulb while consuming less power than a conventional light-bulb-shaped fluorescent lamp is provided by setting the external diameter of the globe in the range of 55-65 mm, the total length of the globe in the range of 65-80 mm, the internal diameter of the fluorescent tube in the range of 7-11 mm, and the distance between the electrodes in the range of 200-280 mm.

    摘要: Disclosed is a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp with higher luminous efficiency than conventional lamps and improved luminous flux rising characteristics at lamp startup equivalent to those of general fluorescent lamps. The compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp (1) includes an arc tube (2) formed by a bent glass tube (9) covered with a globe (6). The glass tube (9) has a turning part substantially in the middle between its both ends, a first spiral part starting from one end and wound around an axis toward the turning part, and a second spiral part starting from the turning part and wound around the axis toward the other end. The arc tube (2) has mercury enclosed therein in a single form. The glass tube (9) has a substantially circular-shaped cross section and an inner diameter of 7.4 mm. The turning part is connected to the globe (9) via a heat-conductive member (15).

    摘要: A manufacturing method of a double spiral glass tube having a bump that is difficult to break. The manufacturing method includes the steps of: causing the bump forming section (32) in the central portion (13) to have greater tube thickness than the other sections in the glass tube (23) that has been deformed into a double spiral shape; heating and softening part of the bump forming section; and forming a bump (14) by injecting a nitrogen gas (27) into the inner space of the glass tube from both ends thereof to expand the bump forming section. With this structure, the bump forming section is preliminarily formed to have a greater tube thickness than the other sections. As a result, the bump, which is formed by expanding the bump forming section to have a smaller tube thickness than before the expansion, still maintains a sufficient strength.
