摘要: An ink sheet (3) is wound around rollers (6), and a recording sheet (4) is placed with a space (d) between the ink sheet (3) and the recording sheet (4) and is advanced. The thickness of the space (d) is a value in the range of 1 to 100 .mu.m. The ink sheet (3) is irradiated with a laser beam (L) emitted by a laser (5) to transfer the dye contained in a dye layer formed on the ink sheet (3) from the ink sheet (3) to the recording sheet (4) for printing. The dye layer of the ink sheet (3) is replenished with the dye (30, 30A) heated and fused by a heater (9) by a dye supply unit (7) at a position other than a position where the ink sheet (3) is irradiated with the laser beam (L). Since the ink sheet and the recording sheet are held with the space (d) having a thickness in the range of 1 to 100 .mu.m, the dye once transferred to the recording sheet is not transferred from the recording sheet to the ink sheet, so that a clear picture having a comparatively high density can be printed. Since the dye layer of the ink sheet is replenished with the dye, the ink sheet can be repeatedly used, so that no waste is produced.

摘要: A wavelength multiplexed optical recording material is disclosed wherein a photosensitive material including substituted porphine, such as tetra(pentafluorophenyl) porphine or tetra(4-methoxyphenyl) porphine, is uniformly dispersed into an optically transparent dispersion medium. When such wavelength multiplexed optical recording material is cooled to a temperature of liquid helium and irradiated with a laser beam, a large number of holes of narrow width are formed in an inhomogenous absorption band under the phenomenon of photochemical hole burning. As compared to unsubstituted porphine, the above porphine derivatives give an improved recording sensitivity and narrow hole width.

摘要: A liquid crystal is dropped on one end portion of a bottom substrate that is coated with a sealing material in an outer peripheral portion. After a top substrate is laid on the bottom substrate, the liquid crystal is expanded from the one end portion of the bottom substrate toward the other end portion. If necessary, an air ejecting opening is formed in the sealing material at a position located in the other end portion of the bottom substrate. The surfaces of the top and bottom substrates may be formed with grooves for accommodating an excessive part of the liquid crystal at positions inside the sealing member. As a result, no air bubbles remain in the liquid crystal even if the charging of the liquid crystal is performed at the atmospheric pressure.

摘要: A developer for electrostatic electrophotography which comprises a composition of colorant particles, an electric charge supplying agent and a resin binder dispersed in a dispersion medium. The resin binder is a copolymer which has a polyoxyethylene units at side chains thereof, so that the interaction with the electric charge supplying agent is improved. The resultant developer ensures good resolution, gradation and fixing property and is suitable for wet development to give high-quality images. When the copolymer used as the resin binder has styrene units therein, its solubility in the dispersion medium is improved. The developer is either liquid or solid depending on the type of dispersion medium.

摘要: An electrostatic latent image is formed by the Carlson process, etc. on a base (photosensitive body) to develop the electrostatic latent image by a solidification developer in which coloring agent particles are dispersed into a dispersion medium in a solid state at an ordinary temperature and adapted to reversibly repeat fusion by heating at about 30.degree. C. at a temperature above a melting point and solidification by cooling, thus to form a developer picture. Thereafter, the base and a transferred body are caused to be subjected to pressure-contact and heating process to fuse the dispersion medium at a pressure-contact and heating temperature more than the melting point of the dispersion medium to subsequently cool the dispersion medium down to a temperature less than the melting point to peel the transferred body to transfer the developer picture onto the transferred body. Alternatively, the dispersion medium is softened at a pressure-contact and heating temperature set so that this temperature falls within a range where it is not above the melting point to subsequently peel the transferred body to transfer the developer picture onto the transferred body. On the surface of a recording paper, a resin layer compatible with a dispersion medium of a developer may be formed.

摘要: Electronic photography apparatus has a photoconductor material on which an electrostatic latent image is formed, a developing device for developing the electrostatic latent image formed on this photoconductive material, a developing electrode provided in the developing device for developing the electrostatic latent image, a developers such that the developer supply exists in the spacing between the photoconductor material and the developing electrode and an injecting means for injecting air to the developers remaining in the spacing between the photoconductor material and the developing electrode so that the developers remaining in the spacing between the photoconductor material and the developing electrode are blown out before they become dried and changed into solid developers. In another embodiment in which a developer supplying container for storing developers supplied to the spacing between the photoconductor material and a developer discharging container for storing the developers discharged from the spacing between the photoconductive material are used and a developing electrode and the circulating path is provided independently of the two containers for supplying the developers to the spacing between the photoconductive material and the developing electrode, the electrostatic latent image can be developed by a very small amount of developers without irregularity.
