摘要: The different illustrative embodiments provide a method and apparatus for installing an edge seal. In one illustrative example, a pre-cured edge seal is placed on an edge of a composite structure with a sealant to form a placed pre-cured edge seal. The placed pre-cured edge seal is then cured on the composite structure.In another illustrative embodiment, an edge of a structure is prepared with solvent, and a brush coat of sealant is applied to the top and the edge of the structure. A fillet is applied to the base of the edge of the structure. A pre-cured edge seal is applied to the edge of the structure, and the edge is cured.

摘要: Dry dog foods are made more appealing to dogs by applying a surface coating of a blend of lipolyzed beef tallow and digest of beef. The coating is applied at a level of at least 4% and less than 8% based on the total weight of the dog food and will contain from 1 to 3 parts lipolyzed tallow and from 1 to 3 parts digest of beef. Preferably, the coating will contain from 2 to 3 parts of both the digest of beef and the lipolyzed beef tallow, and may contain up to four percent beef tallow.

摘要: A lightning-protected conductive composite fuel tank includes a conductive material arrayed on an outer surface to at least partially cover a fastener centerline. Through holes extend along the fastener centerline through the conductive material and the underlying fuel tank shell. These through holes are countersunk into the fuel tank shell to a depth such that a fastener in a through hole will avoid electrical continuity or communication with the conductive material on the fuel tank outer surface. The gap in the countersunk through holes, between the fastener heads and the coextensive outer surface of the fuel tank, is filled with a dielectric or nonconductive material.

摘要: A three-dimensional word game which is characterized by a base having a grid with one or more squares, selected ones of which are fitted with openings or projections for receiving and anchoring correspondingly-shaped, lettered blocks to facilitate vertical stacking and horizontal extension of the blocks together and spelling words. In a preferred embodiment, the blocks (typically cubes) are designed to connect by such elements as round and truncated pegs, snap flanges, threaded posts and internally-threaded post seats, dovetail slots and tabs, as well as by magnetic attraction. The blocks are typically provided with letters of the alphabet located on at least one side, to facilitate selectively connecting or interlocking the blocks, both vertically and horizontally, to spell words during progression of the game.

摘要: The object of the present invention is to provide an improved process for preparing a dog food comprising farinaceous and meaty ingredients.This invention recognizes for the first time that the palatability of dog food can be improved when at least a portion of the farinaceous ingredients are subjected to both an amylase and protease enzyme digestion and intermixing an enzymatically modified proteinaceous material to form a reaction slurry mixture. The resulting combined reaction slurry mixture can be incorporated into the dog food by coating it on the surface or admixing it with the other dog food ingredients and thereby incorporating it internally. Preferably, the combined reaction slurry is admixed with the other ingredients to form a plastic mass which is then shaped and expanded by extrusion.
