摘要： Having conductive contacts (4), a first insulator (1) retaining the contacts, and a cable-side insulator, attachable/detachable relative to the first insulator, for retaining a flat cable (6). The cable-side insulator includes a second insulator (2) for receiving the flat cable, a third insulator (3) disposed so as to confront the second insulator via the flat cable, and a clamp (7) interposed between the flat cable and the third insulator. When the cable-side insulator is mounted to the first insulator, the second and third insulators are engaged with the first insulator to approach each other so that the flat cable is sandwiched between the clamp and the second insulator. In this state, the flat cable is connected to the contacts.

摘要： In a zero insertion force connector for flexible circuit boards, there are a housing, plural flexible circuit boards in multiple rows, an insulator holding the flexible circuit boards and displaceable in perpendicular to the flexible circuit boards in the housing, a counterpart insulator having plural pairs of broader counterpart contacts than thickness of the flexible circuit boards, and a driving member for displacing the insulator so as to incline the flexible circuit boards. When the driving member is operated, the insulator presses the flexible circuit boards. Then the flexible circuit boards incline, and connect the counterpart contacts respectively.

摘要： An electrical connector having a cap rotatable by a link mechanism, there are a connector housing, a first link having a symmetrical structure of both sides of the connector housing and pivoted at the connector housing, a second link having a symmetrical structure of both sides of the connector housing and pivoted at the first link, a cap pivoted at the second link, a sealing member installed at circumference of the cap or a connector on the connector housing, and wherein at least one of the first link and the second link is made of a one piece member. The cap is fitted to a top of the connector housing, and covers the connector to lead into a waterproof state. When an operator pushes up a handle of the second link by his finger, the first link and the second link rotate. Then the cap takes off from the top of the connector housing, and so the connector is ready for electrical connection. Further, when the operator pushes down the handle of the second link by his finger, the first link and the second link rotate more. The cap fits to a bottom of the connector housing finally.

The cable-side insulators connect the wires to the contacts when attached to the base insulator. The base insulator has a pair of base guide portions (15) extending while confronting each other. The cable-side insulators each have a pair of cover guide portions (45) of which movement is guided by the base guide portions. At least either of the base guide portions and the cover guide portions have projection portions that bring both of them mutually into a press-fitted relation in a cable connected state.
