    摘要: Methods and systems for configuring nodes in a redundant network configuration include identifying a master node from a plurality of nodes in the network by sending a configuration packet to each node. The configuration packet includes an identification number representing the node in the network from which the configuration packet originates, where each node in the network has a unique identification number. At each node in the network, the identification number in the configuration packet is compared to an identification number for that node. In one embodiment, the node whose identification number is greater than the identification number in the configuration packet is designated the master node. A virtual break is created in the network at the location of the master node to prevent a packet from returning to the node from which it originates.

    摘要: An optical element mounting includes a frame, and a shuttle that is translatable relative to the frame. The shuttle includes inner and outer portions that are mechanically coupled together by a plurality of flexures that effectively bending and twisting of the shuttle from being transmitted to an optical element, such as an optical window, that is mounted on the inner portion of the shuttle. The flexures may be thin linking strips of material between the outer and inner portions. The flexures may have a thickness that is greater in an expected load direction, than in a direction perpendicular to the load direction. The optical mounting may include a locking mechanism, for example including a shape memory alloy wire, to lock the shuttle in a predetermined location relative to the frame.

    摘要: Some embodiments provide a method of specifying speed effects for playing a video clip. The method defines a set of speed effects for the video clip. It then displays in real-time a presentation of the video clip that accounts for the set of speed effects defined for the video clip. In some embodiments, this method represents the playback speed of a video clip in terms of a graph that is part of a graphical user interface (“GUI”). This graph is defined along two axes, with one axis representing the playback time, and the other axis representing the content-time (i.e., the time within the video clip). In these embodiments, a user can change the playback speed of the video clip by using a set of GUI operations to select and modify the graph. For instance, a user can select and adjust the graph at different instances in time in order to change the playback speed of the video clip at these instances. Different embodiments use different types of graphs to represent playback speed. For instance, some embodiments use a deformable line bar that is superimposed on a rectangle that represents the video clip.
