摘要: In various examples, durations of relatively high user activity within a gameplay session may be determined from user input events using a running user activity measurement. Once a duration is identified, it may be further analyzed to merge the duration with one or more other durations and/or to determine or predict whether the duration would be of sufficient interest for further action. A user interest score for an identified duration may be computed based on a set of the user input events that occur in the duration and used to determine and/or predict whether the duration would be of sufficient interest for further action. In some cases, an action may be performed based on determining the user interest score is greater than a statistical value that is computed from user interest scores of multiple identified durations.

摘要: In some embodiments, an electronic device displays a playback user interface that is configured to playback content on the electronic device. While displaying the playback user interface that is configured to playback the content on the electronic device, the electronic device displays a scrubber bar for navigating through the content, wherein the scrubber bar includes: a visual indication of a current playback position within the content; and one or more playback time indications that include time values based on the current playback position within the content. A respective playback time indication of the one or more playback time indications is based on a time of day at the electronic device, and an amount of time that it will take to play the content from the current playback position to an end of the content at a respective content playback speed.

摘要: Systems and methods are described for retrieval and output of content in a way that addresses concerns with storing multiple copies or versions of a piece of content. The piece of content may have associated computer instructions that allow the client to access alternate portions of the piece of content during consumption. This allows the content provider to store a single copy of the complete piece of content while enabling consumers to access alternate audio or video portions of the content. A new playback architecture may execute instructions associated with a piece of content. Instructions associated with a piece of content may directly affect consumption by the consumer client and may be dependent upon user preferences or interests.

When the user later issues a skip-forward command to advance playback of a media asset to a desired location, the control circuitry retrieves the stored time duration, and determines an expected overshoot value associated with the skip-forward command. The control circuitry then compensates for the expected overshoot by calculating a new location in the media asset based on both the retrieved time duration and expected overshoot value.
Upon advancing to the new location, the media asset is played back in a fast-forward mode, e.g., at a speed higher than normal speed.-

Data including a first program, a first caption stream associated with the first program, and a second caption stream associated with the first program may be received. The second caption stream may be extracted from the data, and a second program may be encoded with the second caption stream. The first program may be transmitted with the first caption stream including first captions and may include first content configured to be played back at a first speed. In response to receiving an instruction to change play back speed, the second program may be transmitted with the second caption stream. The second program may include the first content configured to be played back at a second speed different from the first speed, and the second caption stream may include second captions different from the first captions.

摘要: Techniques are described for automatically adaptive playback speed for media playback. In an embodiment, media data is received, which is associated with multimedia to be rendered at an original capture speed on a multimedia player on a computing device. A content density index value for a particular portion of the multimedia is determined, the content density index value representing a rate of content within the particular portion that a user of the multimedia player has to comprehend. Based on the content density index value for the particular portion, a new speed is determined for rendering the portion of the multimedia. The new speed may be stored associated with the portion of the multimedia for rendering the portion of the multimedia at the new speed that is different from the original speed.
