    摘要: A sealant that can be used in a liquid crystal display device without contaminating the liquid crystal layer is presented. The sealant includes an acrylic-based compound having at least two acryl groups per molecule and an epoxy-based compound having an epoxy group and a dihydrazide compound. A liquid crystal display using the sealant is provided. The liquid crystal display includes a first substrate having a display area, a second substrate on the first substrate and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates. A sealant pattern is formed on any one of the first and second substrates in an outer portion of the display area by using the sealant.

    摘要: A display apparatus comprises a display panel, a first polarizing plate and a second polarizing plate. The display panel comprises a first substrate including a pixel electrode, a second substrate opposite to the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between a first surface of the first substrate and a first surface of the second substrate. The first polarizing plate comprises a first polarizer having a first polarizing axis, and a first λ/4 phase difference plate having a refractive index between about 1.35 and about 2.05 in a thickness direction. The second polarizing plate comprises a second polarizer having a second polarizing axis crossing the first polarizing axis, and a second λ/4 phase difference plate having a refractive index between about 1.35 and about 2.05 in a thickness direction. Accordingly, light leakage in a side view may be reduced and viewing angle may be improved.

    摘要: A device and method for injecting liquid crystal material into a liquid crystal cell. The device includes a container for holding the liquid crystal material and a stand disposed in the container. The stand has an upper surface and at least one side having a plurality of furrows formed therein. The liquid crystal material is transported by capillary action to the upper surface where it is contacted with an injection hole of the cell. The method provides for removal of air from the liquid crystal material and injection of the liquid crystal material in an isotropic state.
