摘要: The entire part of a rear surface 2 of a nozzle plate 1 excluding peripheral portions 6 of nozzle holes 4 is coated with a resist tape, and this nozzle plate 1 is immersed in an electrolytic solution in which ions of a metal and particles of a water-repellent resin are dispersed to provide a plating thereon, and the plated nozzle plate 1 in the electrolytic solution is then heated to a temperature that is higher than a melting point of the water-repellent resin, whereby an entire portion extending from a front surface 3 of the nozzle plate 1 and the nozzle holes 4 contiguous to the front surface to the rear surface 2 is provided with a eutectoid plating layer 8 to suppress deviation of the passage of ink droplets due to wetting by an ink or the like.

摘要: A photosensitive resin film 6 is pressed onto the surface 2 of nozzle plate 1, with one portion entering the inside of nozzle 4. Then, by ultraviolet radiation directed from the rear surface 3 of nozzle plate 1, the inside the nozzle portion hardened as to form a plug 6a, and at the same time the portion of photosensitive resin film directly above nozzle 4 is hardened by the ultraviolet radiation to form an extensive portion 6b, of a size at least that of nozzle diameter d, but no larger than 1.4 times that of nozzle diameter d. Finally, using the shape of extensive portion 6b, an ink-repellent eutectoid plating coating layer 8 is applied to the whole surface 2 of nozzle plate 1 with the exception of the edge of nozzle 4 covered by the extensive portion, forming on that surface 2 a water-repellent surface that does not cause deviation in the flight of ink droplets, while restricting the lining of the inside of nozzle 4 with the coating layer.

摘要: A nozzle plate free from stray fly and defective jetting is achieved by a method which has a first step of putting a photosensitive resin film 5 in pressure contact with a back surface of a nozzle plate 1. A part of the photosensitive resin film 5 is caused to step into a nozzle 4 by controlling the viscosity thereof by changing temperature. Then, the thus processed photosensitive resin film 5 is hardened by injecting ultraviolet rays thereto. Next, a front surface 2 of the nozzle plate 1 is subjected to a eutectoid plating 6 process. By regulating a step coverage d of a part of the eutectoid plating 6 into the nozzle 4 by the hardened photosensitive resin film 5, a-nozzle plate having consistent nozzles, each being free from stray fly and defective jetting can be formed.
