摘要： A recording apparatus includes: a conveyor which has one or more holes penetrating from a first surface to a second surface thereof, and which conveys, in a conveyance direction, a recording medium supported on the first surface; and a recording unit which is at such a position as to face the first surface, and records an image on a recording medium while the recording medium is conveyed by the conveyor. The recording apparatus further includes an exhauster capable of causing air exhaust through the one or more holes so that airstream in the one or more holes is directed from the second surface to the first surface; and a controller which controls the exhauster so as to cause air exhaust through at least one medium-facing hole out of the one or more holes, the medium facing hole being a hole facing a recording medium.

摘要： An image recording apparatus includes a recording head, first and second rollers, an endless conveyor belt wound around the first and second rollers to convey a recording medium from the first to the second roller, a first adsorber giving adsorptivity for the recording medium toward an outer surface of the conveyor belt at least in a region thereof opposed to the recording head, a third roller disposed at a position opposite to the first roller across the second roller, and an endless separation belt wound around the second and third rollers. An outer surface of the endless separation belt has adsorptivity lower than the adsorptivity given by the first adsorber. The endless separation belt receives the recording medium from the conveyor belt and conveys the recording medium from the second roller to the third roller while supporting the recording medium on the surface thereof.

摘要： A tape printer includes a cutter lever that is capable of moving within a prescribed operating range, a tape-cutting mechanism for cutting a printing tape after the printing tape has been printed by a thermal head when the cutter lever moves past a prescribed range, a cutter lever sensor for detecting movement of the cutter lever within the prescribed operating range, and drive circuits for halting the tape-feeding operation and printing operation controlled by a controller when the cutter lever sensor detects an operation by the cutter lever. With this construction, a printing mechanism, which includes a tape-feeding mechanism, is completely halted when a cutter unit is operated, thereby eliminating all tape jams.

摘要： A tape printer capable of separating a print head and a platen when the print head and the platen adhere to each other while the tape printer is stored with a tape cassette uninstalled, keeping a holding member at a pressing position. A cassette cover has a pressing cam part which comes into contact with a roller holder to press the roller holder to a pressing position in a closed state of the cassette cover, and a withdrawing cam part which presses a withdrawing cam receiver to return the roller holder to a withdrawing position in the process of shifting from the closed state to an opened state of the cassette cover. Accordingly, the withdrawing cam part forces the withdrawing cam receiver provided in the roller holder, so that the thermal head and the platen roller which have adhered to each other can be surely separated even after the tape printer is stored for a long period with the tape cassette uninstalled, keeping the roller holder at the pressing position.
