摘要: A liquid evaporator includes a liquid reservoir (3) with a liquid to be evaporated, a heater (9) and an evaporator tube (12). The evaporator tube (12) has a first porous element (1) having a first porosity and with an area in contact with the liquid in the liquid reservoir (3) and a second porous element (2) with a second porosity and with an area present on an evaporator side (50) used to dispense the evaporated liquid, and an area outside the liquid reservoir heated by the heater (9) which is not directly in connection with the liquid. The first porous element and the second porous element are in contact in contact areas with the first porous element forming a wick delivering liquid from the reservoir to the contact area.

摘要: An evaporator defines an evaporator volume, and boils the liquid inside evaporator volume. A mixing chamber is in communication with the evaporator volume and mixes the vapor or moisture from the liquid in the evaporator with the breathing gas of the patient. The mixing chamber is a separate structure than the evaporator. The mixing chamber and the evaporator are connected by a first connection that is repetitively connectable and disconnectable without significant destruction of a respective connection. A heater is arranged outside of the evaporator and in a heat conducting connection with the evaporator. The heater is a separate structure than the evaporator. The evaporator and the heater are connected by a second connection that is repetitively connectable and disconnectable. A liquid storage tank is in communication with the evaporator and supplies a liquid to the evaporator through a flow channel. The liquid storage tank is larger than the evaporator. The flow channel is formed of a material and has a size to thermally insulate the evaporator from the liquid storage tank.

摘要: A device is provided for increasing humidity for respirating patients, especially for a respiration humidifier or an anesthesia reflector. The device includes a gas channel for passing through breathing air, a control and/or regulating device, a temperature sensor and a dew sensor for measuring the humidity present in the breathing air by electromagnetic radiation with a generating device and with a detection device for electromagnetic radiation. The humidity of the breathing air is determined at a low cost and in a reliable manner and condensation is avoided in the respiration system without any additional effort for sterilization. Humidity in the breathing air is determined by the a dew sensor by the change in the reflection of the electromagnetic radiation as a function of dew formation at a condensation-fogged and condensation-free boundary surface between breathing air and a medium having an optical density higher than that of breathing air.

摘要: An improved, pumpless respirator (ventilator) humidifier is provided with a water refilling device (1, 2) and with an electrically heated evaporator (5). The evaporator (5) has a tubular housing, which is filled with a porous sintered material. A front side of the housing is in liquid connection with the automatic water refilling device (1, 2) and the other front side is in connection with an evaporator chamber (4), through which breathing gas flows. The evaporator (5) is provided with a porous sintered glass or ceramic with a pore size of 10 μm to 40 μm in a first, lower, unheated area (14), and the evaporator (5) is provided with a porous sintered metal with a mean pore size of 50 μm to 200 μm in a second, upper area (15) heated by means of a heater (6).

摘要: An anesthesia system for providing a breathing gas enriched with anesthetic has an anesthesia apparatus (2) and at least one anesthetic dispensing device (3), which is detachably coupled with the anesthesia apparatus. A fluid connection (7, 8, 9) is provided between the anesthesia apparatus and the dispensing device, which is designed to send anesthetic from the dispensing device into the anesthesia apparatus. At least one optical interface is provided between the anesthesia apparatus and the dispensing device. At least one display device is provided in the dispensing device. The optical interface has at least one light source (10), which is provided in the anesthesia apparatus, and at least one fiber optic light guide (20), which is provided in the anesthetic dispensing device (3). The light fed by the light source (10) into the fiber optic light guide is sent to the display device to directly or indirectly light the display device.
