    摘要: Provided is a technology of embedding watermark data into an arbitrarily-shaped region by applying a wavelet transform. Prepared are: image data into which the watermark data is to be embedded; a shape map that defines the arbitrarily-shaped region into which the watermark data is to be embedded within the image data; and the watermark data. An SA-DWT processing unit uses the shape map to recognize a given region included in the arbitrarily-shaped region within the image data, and subjects image data in the given region to the wavelet transform. The wavelet transform causes the image data in the arbitrarily-shaped region to be divided into frequency bands, and a watermark data embedding unit embeds the watermark data into a frequency space of the image data generated by the dividing. An SA-IDWT processing unit subjects the resultant to an inverse wavelet transform, and watermark-embedded image data is generated.

Then, print information blocks 2 to be printed on a back surface of the recording medium is selected. The print information blocks 2 are selected according to a priority thereof, and a single print information block 2 to be selected last is selected, based on the length of the double-sided printed material, so that all the margins have the same length within a predetermined allowable range when the selected print information blocks 2 are sequentially arranged to be printed on the back surface. After the second print information is thus determined, the first print information is printed on the front surface of the recording medium and is cut by a cutter unit, and then the second print information is printed on the back surface thereof.

In a URL server (2), a conversion unit (22) converts predetermined information into digital watermark information represented by a plurality of dots in an on state among dots arranged in a matrix manner, a processing unit (23) generates thinned-out digital watermark information by processing a part of the plurality of dots in the on state into dots in an off state so that at least dots that are successively arranged in a vertical or horizontal direction and are in the on state are not present in the digital watermark information, and a communication control unit (24) transmits the thinned-out digital watermark information to a printer (3). The printer (3) prints the thinned-out digital watermark information and the human-readable information in a superimposed manner.

    摘要: The invention discloses an improvement in the photo-lithographic patterning process of a photoresist layer in the manufacture of semiconductor devices in which occurrence of defects in the patterned resist layer can be greatly suppressed resulting in increased reliability of the semiconductor devices and productivity thereof. The improvement can be accomplished by using a chemical-amplification positive-working photoresist composition which exhibits a rate of film thickness reduction in the range from 0.09 to 1.0 nm/second when the photoresist layer before light-exposure is kept in a 2.38% aqueous solution of tetramethylammonium hydroxide at 23° C. to dissolve away the resist layer.
