摘要: A scanning light source includes a semiconductor light source, and scans an instantaneous illumination spot based on the output light of the semiconductor light source in the horizontal direction of the light distribution. A lighting circuit is capable of providing multi-gradation dimming of the amount of light provided by the semiconductor light source at each scanning position in synchronization with the scanning of the scanning light source. The lighting circuit is switchable between the first mode in which the semiconductor light source is controlled by pulse width modulation with a duty cycle that corresponds to the dimming ratio and the second mode in which the semiconductor light source is turned off over the number of cycles that corresponds to the dimming ratio.

摘要: A light emitting element emits detecting light toward an outside area of a vehicle. A light receiving element outputs a light receiving signal corresponding to reflected light. A processor detects information of the outside area on the basis of the light receiving signal. A translucent cover forms a part of an outer surface of the vehicle, and has a plurality of flat portions allowing passage of the detecting light. The processor excludes, from the information to be detected, a position corresponding a boundary portion between adjacent ones of the flat portions.

摘要: A sensing system provided in a vehicle capable of running in an autonomous driving mode, includes: a LiDAR unit configured to acquire point group data indicating surrounding environment of the vehicle; and a LiDAR control module configured to identify information associated with a target object existing around the vehicle, based on the point group data acquired from the LiDAR unit. The LiDAR control module is configured to control the LiDAR unit so as to increase a scanning resolution of the LiDAR unit in a first angular area in a detection area of the LiDAR unit, wherein the first angular area is an area where the target object exists.

摘要: A vehicle lamp includes a light source unit for road surface drawing capable of forming a light source image longer in an upper and lower direction than a left and right direction of the lamp and a projection lens through which light forming the light source image is transmitted and which projects a predetermined light distribution pattern on a road surface. A light emitting surface or a light transmitting surface of the light source unit is disposed in a vicinity of a rear focal point of the projection lens. The light emitting surface or the light transmitting surface is inclined with respect to an upper and lower direction orthogonal to an optical axis of the projection lens.
