Abstract: A tomography system includes a radiation source, a radiation detector, a subject table, an imaging unit and a reconstruction unit. The imaging unit obtains a projection image a predetermined number of times while changing a positional relationship of the radiation source and the radiation detector. The reconstruction unit generates a tomogram of a subject using the projection image obtained by the imaging unit. The reconstruction unit includes a correction unit. The correction unit performs correction processing to (i) create a profile of a pixel signal value from a no-subject-included projection image obtained by the imaging unit without the subject on the subject table and (ii) correct, on the basis of the created profile, a subject-included projection image obtained by the imaging unit with the subject on the subject table or a detection probability used in generating the tomogram.

A hardware processor decomposes a signal value of input image data into band-limited signals having different frequency bands from each other. A storage stores pieces of preset data. Each of the pieces of preset data comprises tables to associate frequency with a response and to prescribe different response properties from each other. The hardware processor selects a piece of preset data from the pieces of preset data stored in the storage, converts the decomposed band-limited signals on a basis of tables in the selected piece of preset data, reconstructs the converted band-limited signals into enhanced image data, and generates a frequency-enhanced image through addition of the enhanced image data which is multiplied by a predetermined enhancement coefficient to the input image data.

Abstract: A radiation image capturing apparatus includes scan lines, signal lines, radiation detection elements, bias lines, a readout IC, a control unit and a noise detection unit. The detection elements generate electric charges by receiving radiation. The readout IC reads respective image data based on the respective electric charges. The control unit controls at least the readout IC. At the time when each image data is read, the detection unit outputs data based on voltage noise in reverse bias voltage applied to the detection elements via the bias lines and/or voltage noise in off voltage applied to the scan lines. The control unit estimates an offset component in the output data, calculates noise data based on the output data and the offset component and subtracts the noise data from the image data, thereby generating corrected image data.
