The image display device includes a temperature variation rate detecting unit that detects a temperature variation rate of the display panel; a driving condition setting unit that sets driving conditions so as to display the image on the display panel in accordance with an image data of the image; a driving condition changing unit that changes the set driving conditions in accordance with the detected temperature variation rate; and a display panel driving unit that displays the image on the display panel by driving the display panel with the driving conditions changed by the driving condition changing unit.

The display driver includes: a display driver circuit configured to apply the drive voltage to the electro-optical layer, the drive voltage corresponding to one of at least two operation modes including a first drive mode and a second drive mode, the first drive mode having a first temperature range for representing two tones, the second drive mode having a second temperature range for representing two tones, the first temperature range and the second temperature range being different from each other; an input interface configured to input temperature information, the temperature information being information relating to temperature of the display element; and an operation mode determining unit configured to determine operation mode of the display driver circuit on the basis of the temperature information.

摘要： An image display apparatus that displays an image on a display includes: a temperature measuring unit that measures temperatures of a plurality of display regions of the display; a determining unit that determines whether or not a temperature difference between one of the plurality of display regions and the other display regions is larger than a threshold value on the basis of the temperatures measured by the temperature measuring unit; a driving condition setting unit that sets a driving condition for displaying the image on the display according to image data of the image; a driving condition changing unit that, in a case when the determining unit determines that the temperature difference is larger than the threshold value, changes the set driving condition to a driving condition different from that in a case in which the temperature difference is determined to be equal to or smaller than the threshold value; and a display driving unit that drives the display under the driving condition changed by the driving condition changing unit and displays the image on the display.

摘要： The present invention is adapted to make all the pixels of electrophoretic display 17 white (step S103) when light no longer incomes on the face of electrophoretic display 17 (“Yes” at step S102) . When someone places the face of electrophoretic display 17 on a contact glass of a copy machine to copy the contents on electrophoretic display 17 as they are, all the contents currently displayed on electrophoretic display 17 is deleted. As the result, the present invention can prevent the contents on electrophoretic display 17 from being easily copied by the copy machine as they are.

The driving method includes displaying the second image on the display section, during the process of rewriting the first image into the second image, wherein the corrected image data is image data obtained by correcting image data associated with the second image so as to reduce an area displaying the one gradation and expand an area displaying the other gradation in the second image.
