    摘要: The display device is provided with X electrodes XP and Y electrodes YP which cross with a first insulating layer in between and a number of Z electrodes which are electrically floating from each other with a second insulating layer in between. The Z electrodes are arranged so that each Z electrode overlaps both an adjacent X electrode and Y electrode. The pad portion of a first X electrode has such a form that the area is maximum in the vicinity of the fine wire portion of the first X electrode and the area is minimum in the vicinity of the fine wire portion of an adjacent second X electrode, and the area of the pad portion is smaller towards the direction in which the distance increases away from the vicinity of the fine wire portion of the first X electrode. A pulse signal is sequentially applied to one set of X electrodes or Y electrodes.

    摘要: A display device having an electrostatic capacity touch panel includes: X electrodes XP and Y electrodes YP which intersect each other via a first insulating layer; and a plurality of Z electrodes disposed in a floating state via a second insulating layer. For the second insulating layer, a material such as an elastic insulating material which changes in thickness by pressing of touch is used. The Z electrode is disposed so as to overlap both one of the X electrodes and one of the Y electrodes. A pad part of the X electrode has a largest area in the vicinity of a thin line part of the X electrode, and a smallest area in the vicinity of the thin line part of the adjacent X electrode. An area of the pad part is reduced as the pad part departs from the thin line part of the X electrode.

    摘要: In a touch panel capable of detecting the coordinates of two pressed-down points individually at the same time, the coordinates detected while one point is pressed are stored and, if a second point is subsequently pressed, the stored coordinates of a first point are used to identify the coordinates closer to the stored coordinates as the first point and the coordinates of another detected point as the second point, thereby identifying an order in which the two points are pressed. Thereafter, what mouse operation has been executed at the coordinates of the first point is detected based on a positional relation between the coordinates of the first point and the coordinates of the second point, and a result of the detection is output to an application operable through a graphical user interface.

    摘要: In a touched position detection method for a touch panel for detecting a touched position, based on measured values by a plurality of sensors, presence of a touch is determined when a measured value by a sensor exceeds a touch threshold. As a touch threshold, a value which cannot be attained due to a mere noise but can due to presence of a touch is set. With respect to sensors located in the vicinity of a sensor showing a high measured value, a higher weighted value is applied to modify a measured value in a touched position calculation process than that to be applied to other sensors.
