    Abstract: The head-up display device sequentially displays a virtual image (51V) of a guide light from one end of a reflector (30) side, in the back inside of a virtual image 83V of an opening bezel formed into a square frame displayed along an outer edge of a projection area (71) of a window shield, and further displays a virtual image (20V) of display information in the back thereof. The amount of travel of the virtual images (51V) of the guide light when the reflector provided in the head-up display device rotates is smaller than the amount of travel of the virtual image (20V) of the display information. Therefore, even if the virtual image 20V of the display information falls outside the projection area, the virtual images 51V of the guide light remain in the projection area, and are displayed.

    Abstract: A display apparatus for vehicle that can use a space in an instrument panel effectively, minimize a display distortion and allow a vehicle driver to adjust a position of a visible range in an eye range comprises a display unit; a frame; a case; a supporting axis; and a retractable connecting member. The display unit includes a display device, an optical member for magnifying the image, a reflecting member for reflecting the image disposed in between the display device and the optical member, and a cover. The cover is attached to a frame fixed to an opening of the instrument panel for covering the opening.     Abstract: An LCD provided with an edge light type back light unit which is arranged in a manner that the light emitted from a CCT in the form of a linear light source is condensed at the end portion of a light conduction plate, then the light reflected by a reflecting sheet and then ejected from the light conduction plate transmits through a light diffusion plate thereby to indirectly irradiate on a liquid crystal panel from the rear direction thereof in the form of planar light with uniform luminance. A light reflecting plate having a curved surface is disposed in the vicinity of the CCT. A light shielding plate is disposed in a manner that a part of the light emitted from the CCT and reflected by the light reflecting plate is condensed at the end portion of the light conduction plate. Another part of the light emitted from the CCT and reflected by the light reflecting plate is directed upward and directly irradiates a part of the display area of the liquid crystal panel thereby to form a high luminance irradiation portion. Accordingly, thus configured LCD is improved in its visibility and so can be formed as a vehicle-mounted alarm display device for displaying various alarms.

    Abstract: An on-vehicle display unit projects an image, which is displayed on a display in a dashboard, on a screen disposed outside the dashboard. The screen is transparent so that the foreground is visible through the screen with the image projected on the screen being superimposed over the foreground. A reflecting mirror is disposed in the dashboard for reflecting light emitted from the image displayed on the display toward the screen. A semi-transparent mirror is disposed in the dashboard between the display and the reflecting mirror. The semi-transparent mirror is able to pass partially and to reflect partially light emitted from the image on the display. An angle changing mechanism selectively changes the semi-transparent mirror relative to a longitudinal direction of the vehicle into a first inclination angle position or into a second inclination angle position. The semi-transparent mirror partially reflects the light emitted from the image displayed on the display toward the screen when the semi-transparent mirror is at the first inclination angle position, and the semi-transparent mirror partially reflects the light reflected by the reflecting mirror toward the screen when the semi-transparent mirror is at the second inclination angle position.
