    摘要: The head-up display device sequentially displays a virtual image (51V) of a guide light from one end of a reflector (30) side, in the back inside of a virtual image 83V of an opening bezel formed into a square frame displayed along an outer edge of a projection area (71) of a window shield, and further displays a virtual image (20V) of display information in the back thereof. The amount of travel of the virtual images (51V) of the guide light when the reflector provided in the head-up display device rotates is smaller than the amount of travel of the virtual image (20V) of the display information. Therefore, even if the virtual image 20V of the display information falls outside the projection area, the virtual images 51V of the guide light remain in the projection area, and are displayed.

The specific area has a projection area, on which a display light of an image displayed on a display device mounted in a vehicle is projected and the projection area is formed into a curved surface for displaying the projected image in a desired shape and is arranged outside of a surface of the windshield body, and a connection area, which is arranged around the projection area and is formed into a curved surface for continuing to the projection area and the windshield body. By using the windshield, the projection area can be formed into the windshield without an extra deformation.

    摘要: A display includes a case and a display source received in the case, and allows a virtual image of an image displayed on the display source projected on a windshield of a vehicle through an opening of the case to be superimposed on a foreground image through the windshield which is visually recognized at an eye point of the vehicle. A cover for the display is configured to prevent foreign particles from entering an inside of the case through the opening, and allows the image projected from the display source to pass therethrough. The cover has substantially a wedge cross section so as to align a substantially straight light path of direct light from an arbitrary point on the display source through the cover without reflection with a reflected light path of reflected light from the arbitrary point and reflected twice on inner surfaces of the cover.

    摘要: A display apparatus for vehicle that can use a space in an instrument panel effectively, minimize a display distortion and allow a vehicle driver to adjust a position of a visible range in an eye range comprises a display unit; a frame; a case; a supporting axis; and a retractable connecting member. The display unit includes a display device, an optical member for magnifying the image, a reflecting member for reflecting the image disposed in between the display device and the optical member, and a cover. The cover is attached to a frame fixed to an opening of the instrument panel for covering the opening. The display device, the optical member and the reflecting member are accommodated in the case integrally. The case is supported rotatably by the supporting axis inside the instrument panel. The retractable connecting member connects the case to the frame.

    摘要: An LCD provided with an edge light type back light unit which is arranged in a manner that the light emitted from a CCT in the form of a linear light source is condensed at the end portion of a light conduction plate, then the light reflected by a reflecting sheet and then ejected from the light conduction plate transmits through a light diffusion plate thereby to indirectly irradiate on a liquid crystal panel from the rear direction thereof in the form of planar light with uniform luminance. A light reflecting plate having a curved surface is disposed in the vicinity of the CCT. A light shielding plate is disposed in a manner that a part of the light emitted from the CCT and reflected by the light reflecting plate is condensed at the end portion of the light conduction plate. Another part of the light emitted from the CCT and reflected by the light reflecting plate is directed upward and directly irradiates a part of the display area of the liquid crystal panel thereby to form a high luminance irradiation portion. Accordingly, thus configured LCD is improved in its visibility and so can be formed as a vehicle-mounted alarm display device for displaying various alarms.

    摘要: An on-vehicle display unit projects an image, which is displayed on a display in a dashboard, on a screen disposed outside the dashboard. The screen is transparent so that the foreground is visible through the screen with the image projected on the screen being superimposed over the foreground. A reflecting mirror is disposed in the dashboard for reflecting light emitted from the image displayed on the display toward the screen. A semi-transparent mirror is disposed in the dashboard between the display and the reflecting mirror. The semi-transparent mirror is able to pass partially and to reflect partially light emitted from the image on the display. An angle changing mechanism selectively changes the semi-transparent mirror relative to a longitudinal direction of the vehicle into a first inclination angle position or into a second inclination angle position. The semi-transparent mirror partially reflects the light emitted from the image displayed on the display toward the screen when the semi-transparent mirror is at the first inclination angle position, and the semi-transparent mirror partially reflects the light reflected by the reflecting mirror toward the screen when the semi-transparent mirror is at the second inclination angle position.

The reflecting member is disposed such that the center of the spherical shape of the reflecting face thereof optically coincides substantially with a preset visual point position on the driver's seat side while an optical axis of incident light to the reflecting member is coaxial or paraxial with an optical axis of emergent light from the reflecting member and reflected light from the reflecting member is directed to the driver's seat side of the vehicle by the reflecting face of the reflecting element.

    摘要: Various indication display units, for vehicles provided with a head-up display including an indication projector with a display device at the ceiling of a vehicle and a reflecting device forwardly of a driver seat, have been introduced so far due to the fact that there are increasing requirements for space for the installation of many kinds of indicators in vehicles. The problem remains that the displayed image on the reflecting device can hardly be seen on the indication display unit of the conventional type when external strong rays of light are radiated to the above reflecting surface from outside the vehicle through the windshield, and a part of the ceiling reflected on the reflecting device together with the indicating image projected from the projector also causes a bad effect to the displayed image when the vehicle is illuminated by another vehicle following there behind. The indication display unit according to the present invention provides a reflected image of good quality excluding the above bad effects on the displayed image to be reflected on the reflecting device caused by external light radiated from outside the vehicle, by forming the projector more profoundly than the ceiling surface.
