The remote control method may simplify the operating procedures for switching computers and enhance the communication quality between the mobile internet device and the computer.

A method of establishing a charged connection using a screen sharing application between multi-platforms is disclosed. A transmitting end application is installed in a transmitting end apparatus of a sharing source. A receiving end application is installed in a receiving end apparatus of a sharing target. If the transmitting end application is a charged version, an unlimited connection is established for performing screen sharing between the transmitting end apparatus and any receiving end apparatus. If the transmitting end application is a free version, the method further confirms if the receiving end application is a charged version for deciding whether a limited connection or an unlimited connection should be established. Thus, it is assured that either the transmitting end application or the receiving end application is a charged version, the interests of application developers are protected and users are free from paying twice for establishing one connection.

A screen frame transmission method includes a transmitting end capturing screen frame data and transmitting the screen frame data to a receiving end, and detecting for a user's operation and outputting a mode switching signal; a receiving end buffering the screen frame data transmitted by the transmitting end based on which a display device updates its screen, and according to the mode switching signal, switching to the operating mode or the video mode, wherein during the video mode, a longer playback period of the screen frame data are buffered, and during an operating mode, a shorter playback period of the screen frame data are buffered. According to the aforementioned method, during the video mode, the video may be played back smoothly; during the operating mode, a low latency delay control experience may be provided. A receiving device and screen frame transmission system realizing the above method are also disclosed.

A removable apparatus with a plug-and-show function is applied to a wireless presentation system. The wireless presentation system includes a computer and a wireless gateway. The computer is capable of displaying plural presentation frames. The wireless gateway provides ability in wireless network connection. When the removable apparatus connects with the computer, the removable apparatus can automatically analyze the difference region between the current presentation frame displaying in the computer and the preceding presentation frame. The difference region is captured as an update image to be forwarded to the wireless gateway through the computer. The wireless gateway then reproduces a presentation frame the same as the current presentation frame in the computer by integrating the update image with the preceding presentation frame. The reproduced presentation frame is then output to a display device for further displaying.
