An electrolyzing apparatus using a circulating capillary tube type mercury bundled electrode is disclosed, in which the advantage of mercury that it has a high overpotential for hydrogen evolution reaction compared with the general solid metals is preserved, and the disadvantage of mercury that it cannot be so shaped as to have a large contact area is overcome. That is, the mercury contact area is maximized. The oxidation and reduction reactions which occur in the vertically circulating capillary tube type mercury bundle electrode electrolyzing apparatus can be defined by a simple formula so as to quantize their analysis. Based on this formula, the stability checking, and the adjustment of the oxidation state of metal ions in the solution can be carried out in a rapid and continuous manner. Further, the concentration of the metal ions and the oxidation state of the metal ions within the solution can be analyzed in the same manner.

Disclosed is a fiber bundle contactor in which fibers are packed in high density within a column. When two liquid phases flowing in parallel, one of which contains the desired components, are contacted with the entryway of the highly packed fiber bundle, the two liquid phases are very thinly dispersed among gaps around the respective fibers by capillary action induced by the clearance between the fibers. By means of this capillary action, the two liquid phases are maintained as a continuous stream, and the two phases are brought into very intimate contact, thereby ensuring a very large surface area for liquid-liquid extraction to proceed.

The present invention discloses a linear compressor in which a piston is linearly reciprocated inside a cylinder, for sicking a refrigerant into a compression space between the piston and the cylinder, and compressing and discharging the refrigerant, and especially, a structure of discharging the refrigerant for the linear compressor which can reduce a pulsation of a high pressure discharged refrigerant, by making the refrigerant compressed in the compression space flow from a sub-discharge space with a relatively small volume to a sub-discharge space with a relatively large volume in a discharge chamber. As a result, the structure of discharging the refrigerant for the linear compressor can efficiently reduce noise and vibration.

Accordingly, the discharging valve assembly can improve discharging efficiency of gas compressed in the cylinder and discharged, and can minimize noise generated when the discharging valve comes in contact with the cylinder while moving.

The present invention relates to a rapid and simple method for mass production of taxol from the cell culture of Taxus genus plant with a high purity and recovery. The method for mass production of taxol from Taxus genus plant of the present invention, comprises the steps of: (i) organic solvent extraction of biomass from Taxus genus plant to obtain a crude extract; (ii) synthetic adsorbent treatment of the crude extract and filtration to give filtrate; (iii) addition of hexane to the filtrate to precipitate crude taxol; (iv) fractional precipitation of the crude taxol in a mixture of alcohol and water and vacuum drying the precipitate to obtain taxol powder; and, (v) high performance liquid chromatography of the taxol powder. According to the method of the present invention, taxol of over 99% purity can be simply obtained from Taxus genus plant with a high recovery of over 90%.
