Abstract: An approach is provided for determining a carbon footprint-based consumption of cloud resources. Cloud resource requirements and a carbon footprint cap of a workload of a cloud consumer are received. The requirements and cap are based on a sustainability target, published by the cloud consumer, and subscribed by cloud service providers. A list of cloud resources that satisfy the requirements are sent. Carbon emission values of the cloud resources at different load levels of the workload are sent. Based on a service level agreement requirement, a criticality level, and a peak load duration of the workload, and previous success rates of satisfying cloud resource requirements by cloud service providers, an optimized configuration of cloud resource(s) and cloud service provider(s) is selected. The cloud resource(s) are selected from the list and have a carbon footprint that does not exceed the cap at a given load level.

Abstract: An approach is provided for providing record-level sensitivity-based data storage in a networked computing environment. For each data record of a plurality of data records (e.g., rows) in a dataset, the record sensitivity is identified based on the data included in the data record, allowing different sensitivities to be identified for different records in the same dataset. A data center that has a data center sensitivity level that matches the record sensitivity is selected for the identified record sensitivity. Each data record is stored to a selected data center, with data records having different record sensitivities being stored in different data centers of different types, locations, etc.

Abstract: Provisioning a virtual subject matter expert (SME) can include hosting the virtual SME on computer hardware communicatively coupled with a data communications network. The virtual SME can comprise a set of actions that are configured by a technology vendor. As configured, the actions can support a technology that is supplied to a client by the technology vendor. Access to the virtual SME can be provided on a provisioning platform communicatively coupled to the data communications network. The virtual SME can be provisioned to the client in response to a request from the client conveyed via the data communications network. The virtual SME can be provisioned to the client by operatively coupling the virtual SME with an enterprise information technology domain that includes the technology supplied to the client by the technology vendor.

Abstract: Policy deviations for distributed computing environments are detected and recorded an immutable ledger of transaction provenance from end to end transactions performed in the distributed computing environment. From the immutable ledger, persona data for transaction types is plotted as an bipartite graph. Edge weights of the bipartite graphs are correlated to trust levels between personas from the persona data and the transaction types from the immutable ledger. Trust levels from the edge weights are correlated to rules illustrating when the transaction provenance indicate a policy deviation in the distributed computing environment. The rules are then employed to detect in real time end to end provenance when a policy deviation in the distributed computing environment is occurring. An alert of policy deviations may be sent to stakeholders for the distributed computing environment.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for pre-packaging and pre-configuring software products using chatbot message exchanges with users are described. Embodiments may include receiving a user inquiry, initiating a first chat session comprising a primary chatbot within a user interface, receiving user request data corresponding to a first string of communications, and determining a product based on the user request data. Responsive to determining the product, embodiments may include initiating a second chat session comprising a secondary chatbot configured to elicit product feature information about the product within the user interface; receiving product data corresponding to a second string of communications comprising the product feature information; determining product package parameters based on product information; determining executables to provide the product based on user request data, product feature information, and product package parameters; and compiling the executables in respective groups based user requirements and user characteristics.

Abstract: A computer generates a set of microservices associated with a monolithic system using a design diagram. The computer receives a system design diagram depicting a monolithic system and associated code artefacts. The computer identifies, using an object detection algorithm, a set of predefined shapes in the diagram, and each shapes is characterized by positioning coordinates. The computer extracts from the design diagram, using a text recognition algorithm, text associated with the shapes and labels them accordingly. The computer identifies, using the positioning coordinates, relationships among the predefined shapes. The computer arranges the predefined shapes into a hypergraph in accordance with, at least in part, the identified relationships. The computer determines similarity values between code artefacts and shape labels and associates artefacts with shapes accordingly. The computer groups, using a community detection algorithm, operatively-related nodes into a plurality of microservice node communities that represents the monolithic system.

Abstract: In an approach to cognitive retail facing, one or more computer processors receive data associated with a shelf facing of one or more products on display. Based, at least in part, on the received shelf facing data, the one or more computer processors determine whether the shelf facing matches a predetermined pattern. In response to determining the shelf facing does not match a predetermined pattern, the one or more computer processors generate one or more instructions to adjust the one or more products to match the predetermined pattern. The one or more computer processors transmit the generated one or more instructions to one or more autonomous robots.

Abstract: An embodiment includes identifying a robot that is available to perform a task involving an asset in a data center. The embodiment transmits a script to the robot that includes commands corresponding to actions to be executed by the robot in performing the task and transmits a dispatch command to the robot configured to enable the robot to travel from a robot resting place to the asset to begin the task. The embodiment relays a verification request received from the robot after the robot has completed a portion of the task to the vendor. The embodiment also relays, responsive to the verification request, an updated script based on updated instructions from the vendor for dynamically modifying the task to correcting an irregularity. The embodiment transmits, responsive to completion of the task, a recall command to the robot configured to enable the robot to travel from the asset to the robot resting place.
