Abstract: A method and device for displaying desired positions in a live image of a construction site. The method mat include recording at least one position-referenced image of the construction site; linking at least one desired position to the position-referenced image; storing the position-referenced image together with desired position linkage in an electronic memory; recording a live image of the construction site, in particular in the form of a video, wherein the live image and the position-referenced image at least partially represent an identical detail of the construction site; retrieving the stored position-referenced image from the memory; fitting the position-referenced image with the live image, so that the desired position linked to the position-referenced image can be overlaid in a position-faithful manner on the live image; and position-faithful display of the desired position as a graphic marking in the live image.

Abstract: A surveying pole system comprising a surveying pole including two telescopic sections for providing length adjustability. At a first end of the surveying pole, a pointing tip is disposed for positioning on a target point of the environment. At a second end, a length reference point is disposed. The surveying pole also includes a locking mechanism for locking the length adjustability in respective lock-in positions. Each of the lock-in positions provides a corresponding distance between the pointing tip and the length reference point. A plurality of coded identifiers have a predetermined code associated with one of the lock-in positions. The surveying pole also includes a coded-identifier reader for reading the code of a respective coded identifier associated with the respective lock-in position, a communication device configured for transmitting a signal to a surveying instrument, wherein the signal is based at least on the read code.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention include a surveying apparatus that includes an optoelectronic distance measuring device having a measuring beam path, a base for placing the surveying apparatus, a support which is mounted on the base such that it is rotatable about a vertical axis, a beam directing unit which is mounted in the support such that it is rotatable about a tilting axis, an angle measurement system for measuring the axial positions, and an actuatable positioning device driving the beam directing unit or the support. In some embodiments the positioning device may include a plurality of coils which are arranged in a positionally fixed manner in the form of a ring about the tilting axis and/or vertical axis, with winding axes which are axially parallel to the tilting axis or vertical axis.
