    Abstract: A diester-based compound is continuously prepared in a total of n reaction units serially connected, each reaction unit includes a reactor and layer separator. The preparation includes: supplying and esterifying a feed stream including a dicarboxylic acid and an alcohol into a first reactor to prepare a reaction product, and supplying a lower draw-off stream including the reaction product into reactors of rear reaction units; supplying an upper draw-off stream of the first reactor into a first layer separator, refluxing a lower draw-off stream including an alcohol from the first layer separator into the first reactor; and supplying an upper draw-off stream of at least one reactor of second to and nth reactors into each of the layer separators, splitting a portion of the lower draw-off stream including the alcohol from each of the layer separators, and refluxing only a portion of the split stream into each of the reactors.

    Abstract: A diester-based material can be prepared continuously including a reaction part in which a total of n reaction units from a first reaction unit to an nth reaction unit are connected in series, the reaction unit including a reactor which esterifies dicarboxylic acid and alcohol, includes: esterifying dicarboxylic acid and alcohol in a reactor of the first reaction unit to produce a reaction product, and supplying a lower discharge stream including the reaction product to a reaction unit at a rear end, wherein an operating pressure of the reactor of the first reaction unit is 0.4 kg/cm2G to 5.5 kg/cm2G, an operating pressure is reduced from a reactor of any one reaction unit of reaction units from a second reaction unit to the nth reaction unit, and an operating temperature is increased from the reactor of the first reaction unit to the reactor of the nth reaction unit.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a continuous production method of a diester-based material in a continuous production process comprising a reaction part in which a total of N reaction units from a first reaction unit to an N-th reaction unit are connected in series. The method comprising the step of feeding dicarboxylic acid and a primary alcohol, wherein the feed of the primary alcohol is divided into front-end feed of being fed into a first reaction unit and rear-end feed of being fed into one or more reaction units selected among from a second reaction unit to an N-th reaction unit, wherein the amount of the rear-end feed is 5 to 80 wt % based on the total feed amount of the primary alcohol into a reaction part, and the N is an integer of 3 to 6. According to the present invention, it is possible to ensure the ease of process operation through reducing the amount of reflux compared to a typical batch process and reducing the volume of steam for heating a reactor, and to ensure the economic feasibility of a product through saving energy.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a continuous production system and a diester-material production unit included therein, wherein the production unit includes a reaction device in which an esterification reaction of dicarboxylic acid and a primary alcohol is performed, a column in which gas-liquid separation of the primary alcohol and the water introduced is performed, a heat exchange device for recovering heat of a gas phase line of the column, a condenser installed at a rear end of the heat exchange device and liquefying a mixture of a gas-phase primary alcohol and water, and a layer separator in which the layer separation of a mixture of a liquefied primary alcohol and water is performed, wherein the heat exchange device includes one or more of a first heat exchanger for performing heat exchange with a raw material feed line of the reaction device, a second heat exchanger for performing heat exchange with a line through which a low temperature stream flows in a process, and a third heat exchanger for performing heat exchange with condensed water generated in the process. According to the present disclosure, the amount of a coolant used and the volume of steam of a reactor may be reduced, and the thermal efficiency of the entire process may be improved.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a diester-based material production unit including a reaction device in which an esterification reaction of dicarboxylic acid and a primary alcohol is performed, a column in which the gas-liquid separation of the primary alcohol and the water introduced is performed, a heat exchanger installed on a gas phase line of the column to remove heat of the gas phase line, a flash drum in which separation of a liquid phase and a gas phase is performed in the mixture stream including the primary alcohol and the water, a condenser installed on the flash drum upper line, and a layer separator in which the layer separation of a mixture of a liquefied primary alcohol and water into an organic layer and an aqueous layer is performed, wherein one or more lines through which recirculated primary alcohol from the flash drum and the layer separator flows are connected to an upper portion of the column. According to the present invention, a coolant usage amount can be reduced and a rheological problem can be eliminated since a liquid phase and a gas phase coexist in a pipe.
