Abstract: A rechargeable battery includes an electrode assembly; a case having a sealing portion surrounding the electrode assembly; and a lead electrically connected to the electrode assembly and extending in a first direction, wherein the lead includes a first region in contact with the electrode assembly and located inside the case; a second region exposed to an outside of the case; and a third region located between the first region and the second region and overlapping the sealing portion of the case, wherein the third region has a width greater than that of the first region and the second region in a second direction and has a thickness smaller than that of the first region and the second region in a third direction, and wherein the second direction is perpendicular to the first direction, and the third direction is perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction.

Abstract: SUMMARY
A method of preparing an electrode for a secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes the steps of: injecting a first slurry prepared by dissolving a first active material in a first solvent and a second slurry prepared by dissolving a second active material in a second solvent into a single coating device; and coating the first slurry and the second slurry onto a current collector through the single coating device, wherein the first solvent and the second solvent have different physical properties, and form a layered structure of a first layer including the first slurry and a second layer including the second slurry on the current collector, respectively.-

Abstract: The present invention provides a one-sided electrode for a secondary battery comprising a current collector, an electrode mixture layer applied to one surface of the current collector, and an electrode distortion-preventing layer formed on the other surface of the current collector to which no electrode mixture is applied. The one-sided electrode according to the present invention exhibits significantly reduced warping or curling after a rolling process and has the advantages of facilitating subsequent processes and enabling enhanced productivity.

Abstract: A punching system for an electrode base material is disclosed, in which the electrode base material coated with an active material on a surface of a collector is molded or cut in a predetermined shape. The punching system comprises: an unwinder on which the electrode base material in the form of a roll is mounted and around which the electrode base material is unwound; a punching device spaced a predetermined distance from the unwinder, the punching device being configured to mold or cut the electrode base material supplied from the unwinder in a predetermined shape; and a curl correcting device disposed between the unwinder and the punching device to inject or suction air onto a surface of the electrode base material while the electrode base material moves to the punching device so as to planarize the electrode base material. A punching method for an electrode base material is also disclosed.
