Abstract: Disclosed is a transparent display device including an electrochromic element. The electrochromic element includes an electrochromic layer, a counter layer, and an electrolyte layer. An image is displayed through an oxidation-reduction reaction, and the display device is in a transparent mode when a voltage is not applied. The electrochromic layer and the counter layer may further include a core material for changing a color at a high speed.
