Abstract: A display panel and a display device are provided. The display panel includes a panel main body. A first dimming element is disposed on a side of the panel main body. The first dimming element has a first alignment direction. A second dimming element is disposed on a side of the panel main body away from the first dimming element or between the first dimming element and the panel body. The second dimming element has a second alignment direction. The first alignment direction is perpendicular to the second alignment direction. The applicability of the display panel is improved, and it has an anti-peeping effect.

Abstract: A back plate assembly with variable curvatures is disclosed. It comprises a flexible back plate, a connecting component, and an adjustment mechanism, and the adjustment mechanism comprises a connecting shaft disposed on the back plate, and the connecting component connects to the connecting shaft and abuts to the back plate, and the adjustment mechanism adjusts the connecting component on the connecting shaft to modulate clamping force of the back plate received from the connecting component. The back plate assembly can adapt to the backlight units and the display devices with different curvatures based on the requirement of the bend degree. Many kind of the back plate assemblies do not need to be manufactured to fit the backlight unit and the display device having different curvatures.

A pair of support members are disposed on a left side and a right side of the back cover with respect to a central portion of the rear surface of the back cover. Outer ends of the pair of support members are fixed to the back cover. A curvature-changing unit is coupled to the central portion of the rear surface of the back cover to support the pair of support members in a lateral direction of the back cover and change a curvature of either the display panel or the back cover.

Abstract: An image projection system includes a translucent screen, a projector that projects image light to the translucent screen, and a controller that controls the projector and the translucent screen. The translucent screen includes a first light control film configured to be switchable between a transmissive state for transmitting incident light therethrough and a diffusion state for diffusing incident light, and a second light control film configured such that the transmittance thereof with respect to incident light can be changed. The controller has: a first mode in which, in the state where the projector does not project image light, the first light control film is in the transmissive state and the second light control film is in the state of having transmittance for transmitting incident light therethrough; and a second mode in which, in the state where the projector projects image light, the first light control film is in the diffusion state and the second light control film is in the state of having transmittance lower than the transmittance in the first mode. The controller is settable to the first mode or the second mode.

Abstract: An internal device having a lightguide which cooperates with an internal light source. A first light coupling element couples an external light source to the lightguide and a second light coupling element extracts the total internal reflection (TIR) from the lightguide. Between the first and second lightguides, an angular grating device and phase grating device are imposed. The angular grating device applies angular diversity to the rays of the TIR light, while the phase grating device applies phase diversity to the rays of the TIR light. Each of the grating devices has a plurality of electrically switchable grating pixels having a unique first and second diffracting state which varies based on the applied voltage.

Abstract: An eye tracker having a waveguide for propagating illumination light towards an eye and propagating image light reflected from at least one surface of an eye, a light source optically coupled to the waveguide, and a detector optically coupled to the waveguide. Disposed in the waveguide is at least one grating lamina for deflecting the illumination light towards the eye along a first waveguide path and deflecting the image light towards the detector along a second waveguide path.
