Abstract: A method for driving an organic light emitting display according to an embodiment includes applying an initial value of a high potential driving power and a test pattern to a display panel and sensing changes in driving characteristics of the display panel while varying a voltage level of the high potential driving power from the initial value, deciding whether or not a sensed driving characteristic value of the display panel satisfies a predetermined condition, setting a voltage level of the high potential driving power obtained when the sensed driving characteristic value satisfies the predetermined condition, as a reference value of the high potential driving power, and adding a voltage margin to the reference value of the high potential driving power to determine a final value of the high potential driving power, and driving the display panel using the final value of the high potential driving power.

Abstract: Discussed is a display device including a display panel including first and second display areas that differ in the number of sub-pixels per unit area, a data driver that generates data voltages, and supplies the data voltages to the sub-pixels in the corresponding areas, and a power supply part that generates first display area high-potential power for the first display area and second display area high-potential power for the second display area, and supplies the first and second display area high-potential powers to the corresponding display areas. Each of the sub-pixels includes a switching transistor connected to a gate line and a data line, and a pixel circuit including a driving transistor that is turned on in response to a data voltage stored in a storage capacitor, and supplies a driving current to an organic light-emitting diode positioned between a first power line and a second power line.
