Abstract: Discussed are a backlight unit and an LCD device including the same. The backlight unit includes a light guide panel, a light source part disposed at a side of the light guide panel to emit the light, an optical sheet disposed at a front surface of the light guide panel to change a traveling direction of the light to a direction vertical to the light guide panel, a guide panel separated from an end of the optical sheet, and configured to guide the light guide panel, the light source part, and the optical sheet, a reflector disposed at a rear surface of the light guide panel to reflect the light toward the front surface of the light guide panel, a side reflector adhered to a side of the light guide panel, and a cover bottom coupled to the guide panel and in which the reflector is disposed.
