Abstract: Disclosed herein is a dust measuring apparatus and method for measuring a dust concentration in a flow channel. The apparatus includes a flow channel unit for defining a flow channel allowing a fluid containing dust to move therethrough, a light emitter for emitting light into the flow channel, a light detector for detecting light scattered from the dust in the flow channel and converting it to an electrical detection signal, the light detector including a plurality of detectors having different light detection ranges, and a controller for controlling the flow channel unit, the light emitter and the light detector, wherein the controller is configured to receive detection signals from the detectors, compensate for an offset for the received detection signals, and measure a dust concentration based on the compensated detection signals.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a dust measuring apparatus and a mobile terminal for controlling the same. The dust measuring apparatus includes a flow channel defining unit for defining a flow channel allowing a fluid containing dust to move through, a light emitter for emitting light into the flow channel, a light detector for detecting light scattered from the dust in the flow channel and converting the same into an electrical signal, and a controller for controlling the flow channel defining unit, the light emitter and the light detector. The controller is configured to verify whether a detection value received from the light detector is within an effective measurement range, vary the effective measurement range when the detection value is outside the effective measurement range, and measure, when the detection value is within the varied effective measurement range, a dust concentration based on the detection value.

Abstract: The present invention provides an asymmetric optical sensor device comprising: a light emitting unit for outputting light; a light receiving unit which receives the light reflected by an external object, and consists of a plurality of pixels which correspond to regions of different angles with respect to the light emitting unit and are arranged in a row; and a lens unit for diffusing the light from the light emitting unit. The light amounts received by the plurality of pixels are light amount values which are asymmetric with respect to the center of the light receiving unit.

Abstract: An apparatus for projecting a spatial image in which the spatial image with a background is projected into a space through a projection unit is discussed. The apparatus according to an embodiment includes a receiving unit to receive a spatial image and a background image, a display unit to display the spatial image and the background image and to project light, a control unit to control the display unit to display the spatial image and the background image, and a spatial image projection unit to project the spatial image and the background image by transmitting or reflecting the light. Thus, a spatial image may be viewed from every direction, and the spatial image may be projected to different positions according to images and a background image may be displayed at the same time. In addition, a user may perform interaction such as reaching of hands into the projected image.
