Abstract: An electric vehicle includes a disc fixed to a housing. The electric vehicle also includes a first shaft connected to a motor and rotatable by the motor, and a second shaft connected to a wheel and spaced apart from the first shaft. Further, the electric vehicle includes a hub press-fitted to an outer circumference of the second shaft, and a sleeve spline-coupled with an outer circumference of the hub. The sleeve is slidable between the first shaft and the disc. The electric vehicle operates in any one of a driving mode, a neutral mode, and a parking mode according to a position of the sleeve.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, an electric vehicle driving apparatus may include a driving motor, a plurality of shafts, a plurality of gears including a planetary gear set, a synchronizer, and a clutch. The electric vehicle driving apparatus may have a coaxial structure in which an input shaft connected to the driving motor is disposed coaxially with an output shaft connected to a wheel, and may continuously transmit power through a power bypass path when changing a speed. The electric vehicle driving apparatus may improve a spatial usability and improve shifting feeling by minimizing shift shock.

Abstract: An apparatus for driving an electric vehicle and a method of controlling the vehicle are disclosed. The apparatus for driving the electric vehicle includes a driving motor, a motor shaft, a first motor gear, a second motor gear, a first driving gear, a second driving gear, a driving shaft, a first clutch, and a second clutch. The second clutch is a selective one-way clutch that functions as a bearing or a one-way clutch based on an operation of an actuator. The one-way clutch is configured to connect the second driving gear and the driving shaft based on a relative speed between the second driving gear and the driving shaft.
