    Abstract: A linear compressor is provided that may include a compressor casing including a cylindrical shell and a pair of shell that covers both ends of the shell; a frame fixed to an inside of the shell; a cylinder accommodated in the shell and defining a compression space for a refrigerant; a piston inserted into the cylinder to linearly reciprocate in an axial direction of the cylinder and compress the refrigerant provided to the compression space; a motor assembly including a motor that provides power for a linear reciprocating motion to the piston, and a motor support that supports the motor; a spring that allows a resonant motion of the piston; a back cover that supports the spring; and a stopper provided in one of the pair of shell covers and contacting the back cover when the motor assembly vibrates in a radial direction of the cylinder, thereby preventing the motor assembly from colliding with the shell.

The first support may include a support head coupled to a center of the front end of the compressor main body, and a pair of dampers having both ends respectively coupled to the support head and an inner circumferential surface of the shell.

    Abstract: A linear compressor includes a cylinder, a discharge valve, a valve spring pressing the discharge valve to close one side of the cylinder, and a spring support portion providing a support point for the valve spring to press the discharge valve. The valve spring includes a first spring arm whose center is connected to the discharge valve and extending spirally, a second spring arm spaced apart from the first spring arm by a predetermined distance with respect to an axial direction of the cylinder and extending spirally toward an outer portion according to a shape of the first spring arm, and a rubber damper connecting the first spring arm and the second spring arm and fixing relative positions of the first spring arm and the second spring arm.

    Abstract: A linear compressor may include a shell, a shell cover, a compressor body disposed in the shell, and a support device configured to connect the compressor body to the shell cover to prevent the compressor body from contacting an inner peripheral surface of the shell. The support device includes a support spring formed with a hole in a central portion and having a spiral spring arm extending from the central portion to an outer portion, at least a portion of the outer portion being connected to the compressor body, a rigid connection portion spaced apart from the support spring by a predetermined distance, and an elastic connection portion formed to surround at least a portion of a periphery of the hole of the support spring to connect the support spring and the rigid connection portion and coupled to the shell cover.

The spring cap defines a space portion that is defined inside the spring cap and has a volume separate from the inner space of the shell, and a passage portion that extends through an axial side surface of the spring cap and is configured to provide communication between the space portion and the inner space of the shell.
