    Abstract: A compressor and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The compressor includes a piston having formed therein a suction space, in which refrigerant gas is sucked; and a cylinder in which a piston is accommodated, the cylinder defining a compression space that is configured, based on the piston reciprocating in an axial direction, to compress the refrigerant gas therein. A plurality of grooves having a partial spherical shape and having a diameter of 10 micrometers is formed in an outer circumferential surface of the piston or an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder.

    Abstract: A linear compressor is provided that may include a shell in which a discharge port is provided, a cylinder disposed in the shell to define a compression space for a refrigerant, a piston disposed to be reciprocated in an axial direction within the cylinder, a discharge valve disposed on or at one side of the cylinder to selectively discharge the refrigerant compressed in the compression space, the discharge valve including an insertion protrusion, and a valve spring coupled to the discharge valve to provide a restoring force to the discharge valve. The valve spring may include a spring body having a central portion defined at a portion corresponding to a center of the cylinder, and an insertion hole defined in the spring body. The insertion hole may be coupled to the insertion protrusion of the discharge valve. The central portion of the spring body may be spaced apart from a central portion of the insertion hole.

    Abstract: A linear compressor is provided. The linear compressor may include a suction valve with a plurality of wings. Each of the plurality of wings may include two first edge portions that extend in an outer direction of a fixing portion, and a second edge portion forming an outer circumferential portion of the wing. A distance between a first edge portion of a first wing among the plurality of wings and a second edge portion of a second wing among the plurality of wings gradually increases toward the outer direction of the suction valve.
