Abstract: Provided herein are various magnetoelectric dipole antenna arrays and multi-array arrangements for handling radio frequency signals. In one example, an antenna array includes a baseplate conductively coupled to sets of plate elements by support members that position the plate elements at selected distances offset from a surface of the baseplate. Antenna probes are arranged in orthogonal pairs positioned within gaps between a corresponding set of plate elements, with each antenna probe comprising a conductive strip having a feed section coupled to a radio frequency connection through the baseplate, a transverse section generally parallel with the baseplate, and a terminal section directed back toward the baseplate. Dielectric structures for each pair of antenna probes comprise a dielectric material having channels that recess the conductive strips therein and a dielectric spacer positioned between overlapping transverse sections of the antenna probes.

Abstract: A multipaction-proof waveguide filter includes a main cavity and a number of corrugations extending from the main cavity. The main cavity includes corrugation interconnect regions between the plurality of corrugations. The corrugation interconnect regions include sloped surfaces, and the corrugations include flared nonparallel sidewalk. Due to the introduced sloped surfaces and flares, an increased Q is achieved, improved roll off is observed and multipaction risks are mitigated.

Abstract: An antenna system includes an antenna array including a number of antenna elements disposed on a substrate. Each antenna element includes a radiation layer, a ground plane layer, a feed layer and an additional ground plane layer. The ground plane layer includes a ground plane conductive layer that has a number of slots. The feed layer includes a feed structure to excite the slots. A dual polarization feature of the antenna array is realized via the slots, and the slots are separated by the ground plane conductive layer.
