    摘要: An interleaved array of electronically steerable antennas is capable of simultaneously operating and/or independently beam scanning at different frequencies from a single aperture. An antenna system may comprise a plurality of electronically steerable antennas configured to be operable at different frequencies, each of the antennas comprising a feed launching a surface wave and surface-wave waveguides connected to the feed. The surface-wave waveguides of the antennas operable at different frequencies may be interleaved with each other.

    摘要: An antenna feeder line of the invention comprises a dielectric substrate, a first main conductor layer, a second main conductor layer, through conductor groups in two rows and sub conductor layers, which form a dielectric waveguide line, wherein a slot is provided in the first main conductor layer of the dielectric waveguide line, high-frequency signals are fed to an antenna device disposed above the slot, and a grounding conductor comprising a conducting bar and/or a conductor layer, for electrically connecting the first and second surfaces constituting H surfaces is disposed in a position which is perpendicular to a signal transmission direction and at a distance substantially not more than ½ the distance between E surfaces from side surfaces constituting the E surfaces, in a transmission area within a distance substantially the same as the signal wavelength from the slot to the input side or the side opposite thereto.

    摘要: There is disclosed a reconfigurable antenna device comprising a plurality of antennas disposed about a periphery of a substantially rectangular shape having top, bottom, left and right sides. The antenna device includes a first balanced antenna having first and second radiating arms each having a proximal portion and a distal portion, proximal portions extending along the top side in respectively opposed directions from a substantially central feed point, and the distal portions extending part way down the left and right sides. The antenna device further includes a first unbalanced antenna located generally between the distal portions and adjacent to the proximal portions of the first and second radiating arms. In addition, the antenna device includes a second balanced antenna having a first radiating arm extending up the left side from a feed peed point in a bottom left corner of the periphery and a second radiating arm extending along the bottom side from the feed point in the bottom left corner of the periphery, and a third balanced antenna having a first radiating arm extending up the right side from a feed point in a bottom right corner of the periphery and a second radiating arm extending along the bottom side from the feed point in the bottom right corner of the periphery.

    摘要: An electronically controlled monolithic array antenna includes a transmission line through which an electromagnetic signal may be propagated, and a metal antenna element defining an evanescent coupling edge located so as to permit evanescent coupling of the signal between the transmission line and the antenna element. The antenna element includes a conductive ground plate; an array of conductive edge elements defining the coupling edge, each of the edge elements being electrically connected to a control signal source, and each of the edge elements being electrically isolated from the ground plate by an insulative isolation gap; and a plurality of switches, each of which is selectively operable in response to the control signal to electrically connect selected edge elements to the ground plate across the insulative isolation gap so as to provide a selectively variable electromagnetic coupling geometry of the coupling edge.
