    摘要: A voice quality performance evaluator includes an interface, memory, processing circuitry and may include a network interface. The interface is adapted to couple to a voice transmission path under test. The memory couples to the interface and is adapted to store an original voice sample and a modified voice sample. The processing circuitry couples to the interface and to the memory, retrieves the original voice sample from the memory and transmits the original voice sample to the voice transmission path under test via the interface. The processing circuitry also receives the modified voice sample via the interface from the voice transmission path under test. Finally, the processing circuitry compares the original voice sample to the modified voice sample in the frequency domain to evaluate the performance of the voice transmission path. In one construction, the voice quality performance evaluator includes a network interface that directs the communication network to complete the voice transmission path from and to the voice terminal. In one type of test that is performed by the voice quality performance evaluator, the voice transmission path includes only a vocoder of a voice terminal. However, in another type of test performed by the voice quality performance evaluator, the voice transmission path further includes a communication network. In one implementation, the original voice sample comprises a plurality of different voice samples. These plurality of different voice samples are separated by time markers. The time markers assist in allowing the voice quality performance evaluator to align the original voice sample and the modified voice sample prior to evaluating same. In performing its analysis, the voice quality performance evaluator divides the original voice sample and the modified voice sample into a plurality of time segments and performs an evaluation for each time segment. The voice quality performance evaluator then accumulates the evaluation for each time segment to produce an evaluation for the complete modified voice sample. Once the evaluation is complete, the voice quality performance evaluator may normalize the evaluation of the voice transmission path to other evaluations.

    摘要: A trash trap for liquid manure disposal systems that has a cylindrical housing with an open interior. The housing has a first end with an inlet port and an outlet port in its side wall. The cylindrical housing also has a removable cylindrical filter that has a fluid opening in its side walls and is detachably mounted along a centerline of the housing. The cylindrical filter has a diameter that is less than the inner diameter of the housing so that fluid can enter the housing through the inlet port and exit through the outlet port. Also, on the second end of the housing there is a detachable cap around an access opening.

    摘要: A livestock incinerator is provided, and includes a compartment or incineration chamber defined by opposite sidewalls, opposite end walls, a bottom wall, and an open top which is selectively closed by a plurality of lids pivotally connected to the walls of the incinerator. The interior of the incinerator is lined with firebricks, including all the walls and the lids. The firebricks are secured in place by a plurality of T-shaped brackets which define channels for receiving the edges of the firebricks. A primary burner is operatively connected to the incinerator for heating the chamber such that the carcasses burn to ashes. An exhaust stack is connected to one of the lids, and includes an afterburner for further combusting the products of combustion from the chamber so as to prevent atmospheric pollution. The primary burner and afterburner are operatively connected in series so that if one burner fails to operate, the other burner will automatically cease operation.

    摘要: A wireless telecommunications network includes a base station controller which, in turn, is comprised of a call control resource manager and a multiple technology vocoder having first and second interfaces, first and second selection managers, a vocoder controller and first, second, third, fourth and fifth resources, each embodied as a software module, for performing D/A and A/D conversions on messages configured in accordance with EVRC, EFRC, RLP, VSELP and QCELP protocols, respectively. When transferring messages between a mobile terminal and an MSC via the base station controller, the mobile terminal first informs the call control resource manager of the protocol to which the message conforms. In turn, the call control resource manager advises of the vocoder controller of the protocol type for the incoming message. The vocoder controller configures the interfaces to accept messages formatted in the protocol and instructs the selection managers to provide a path, for the received message, to the appropriate resource for conversion. The converted message is then returned to the call control resource manager and transmitted on to its final destination.

    摘要: A wireless telecommunications network includes a base station controller which includes a call control resource manager and a multi-function coding element embodied within a DSP and comprised of first, second and third coding resources, each embodied as a software module, for respectively performing D/A and A/D on voice, facsimile and data messages. When transferring messages from a mobile terminal to an MSC via the base station controller, the mobile terminal first informs the base station controller whether the message is a voice, facsimile or data message. The mobile terminal then transfers the message to the call control resource manager residing within the base station controller. Based upon the indicated message type, the call control resource manager selects, from the first, second and third coding resources, a resource for performing a D/A conversion of the message received from the mobile terminal. After the selected resource performs the D/A conversion of the received message, the call control resource manager transfers the converted message to the MSC. Conversely, when transferring messages from the MSC to a selected mobile terminal via the base station controller, the MSC informs the base station controller whether the message is a voice, facsimile or data message. The MSC then transfers the message to the call control resource manager. Based upon the indicated message type, the call control resource manager selects one of the first, second and third coding resources to perform an A/D conversion of the received message. The call control resource manager will then transfer the converted message to the selected mobile terminal.
