    摘要: A process and system for the treatment of solid waste based on gradient composed of two distinct thermal sources, notably of a sequenced technological assembly, is able to process solid waste of any class, which operates through a reactor (1) having two chambers (2 and 3), each having a thermal source (4 and 5), where a thermal gradient is generated, followed by a heat exchanger (6) where gases are abruptly cooled and taken to a neutralizing tank (7), for then being directed to an activated charcoal filter (8), due to the action of a blower (9), before finally entering a burner (10) that works under electrical discharges, passing through a catalytic converter (11) and chimney (12) where it is extravasated into the completely inert atmosphere.

    摘要: High-pressure air is discharged in the form of jets moving at a high velocity from nozzles (32) mounted on a ring manifold (30) that encircles the flare stack (10) at a predetermined distance below the flare tip (12), the upper portion of the flare stack being surrounded by an exterior shield (50) that is provided with internal guide vanes (36) at the top portion and perforated with air passages (52) at the bottom portion. The high-velocity air movement in the annular space creates a low pressure zone that in turn induces a larger volume of air from the atmosphere to enter the annular space between the shield and stack where it rises to the flame zone (58), thereby lifting the flame and enhancing turbulent air, fuel and waste gas mixing in the flame zone to minimize or eliminate smoke.

The combustion chamber of the incinerator is provided with a longitudinally extending bottom trough and a pair of endless chains are mounted to travel in longitudinal grooves in the sides of the trough. A plurality of cleats connect the chains and the cleats extend only along a portion of the length of the chains so that during the combustion process, the cleats are not located in the combustion chamber where they would be exposed to the intense heat of combustion to remove ash, the chains are operated to move the cleats along the trough to convey ash out of the combustion chamber to a discharge site.

    摘要: A smoke control device for use in motor vehicle incineration. Smoke from burning vehicles in an incineration area is directed into a collecting chamber by controlled air flows and flaps. Updrafts evacuate the chamber and force the smoke into a combustion stack. The column of smoke in the stack is raised to combustion temperature by heaters mounted on the stack. The superheated smoke is combined with heated air in the vicinity of an open flame causing combustion resulting in a clear stack discharge.

    摘要: An afterburner apparatus to eliminate combustible products in exhaust gases so as to produce a substantially pollution-free gas for discharge to atmosphere. The afterburner apparatus is especially suitable for use with incinerators wherein the exhaust gases from the main combustion chamber oftentimes contain burnable waste products due to incomplete combustion. However, it may also be used with other types of combustion equipment, such as furnaces, gas heaters, or the like, wherein they, too, discharge exhaust gases having some burnable waste products therein. The afterburner apparatus provides for a more complete comsumption of waste products in that it is capable of obtaining a higher temperature in its combustion zone because heated air is supplied thereto to support combustion, the use of the heated air resulting in a saving in the amount of fuel used to fire the combustion chamber. Ancillary to this, the heated air for the combustion chamber of the afterburner apparatus is heated by transfer of heat from already treated flue gases, and by not utilizing heat from the exhaust gases prior to their entry into the combustion chamber, these exhaust gases entering at a higher temperature, thus, making it easier to maintain the proper temperature in the combustion chamber.

    摘要: Combustible materials are burned within a primary combustion chamber in a controlled atmosphere consisting primarily of a large proportion of carbon dioxide and a smaller proportion of air. The controlled atmosphere is produced by afterburning the combustion gases from the primary burner in the presence of combustion air and then recirculating the hot afterburned gases mixed with controlled amounts of air back to the primary combustion chamber. By controlling the proportionate amounts of carbon dioxide and air in the mixture, the temperature and rate of burning in the primary chamber can be carefully regulated.
