摘要: A manual adjustable pedal assembly includes a throttle pedal assembly having a throttle pedal adjustment mechanism and a brake pedal assembly having a brake pedal adjustment mechanism. The manual adjustable pedal assembly also includes a manual adjusting means having a rotatable adjustment means, an outer ring gear disposed in a center portion of the rotatable adjustment means, and a first inner gear and a second inner gear operatively in communication with the outer ring gear. The manual adjustable pedal assembly further includes a throttle drive cable, wherein one end of the throttle drive cable is operatively secured to the first inner gear, and the other end of the drive cable is secured to the throttle adjustment mechanism. The manual adjustable pedal assembly still further includes a brake drive cable, wherein one end of the brake drive cable is operatively secured to the second inner gear, and the other end of the drive cable is secured to the brake adjustment mechanism, for simultaneous adjustment of both the brake pedal and the throttle pedal.

摘要: An adjustable pedal assembly for a vehicle includes a mounting bracket having a mounting face and a pair of opposed upper arms. The assembly includes a first lever arm supported between the pair of mounting bracket upper arms at a first fixed pivot point. The assembly also includes a swing plate pivotally supported by the first lever arm at a second non-fixed pivot point located radially outboard from the first fixed pivot point, and having a mounting face, a pair of upper arms radially extending, a vertically extending lower arm and an outwardly extending pedal support arm. The assembly further includes a second lever arm pivotally attached to the swing plate lower arm at a third non-fixed pivot point at one end and another end pivotally attached to the mounting bracket at a fourth fixed pivot point. The assembly includes a pedal arm operatively attached to the swing plate with a pedal pad attached at a lower end. The assembly further includes an adjustment means connected to the pedal support arm for adjusting the position of the pedal pad by pivoting the first lever arm about the first fixed pivot axis, pivoting the swing plate about the second non-fixed pivot point, pivoting the swing plate lower arm about the second fixed pivot axis, pivoting the second lever arm about the third non-fixed pivot point and the fourth fixed pivot point, to constrain the travel of pedal pad along a predetermined path.

The frame includes a pair of sides having slots to receive a clevis. The pedal arm is mounted between the sides and mounted to the clevis. A screw rod is actionable to move the pedal arm with respect to the frame to adjust the position of the pedal arm. The pedal arm angles forwardly and downwardly from the pivot point to adjust the pedal through a arc having a relatively linear adjustment path.

摘要: An adjustable control pedal apparatus is used in a motor vehicle. The pedal apparatus includes a pedal assembly mounted to a support bracket mounted to the vehicle by a pivot shaft. The pivot shaft contains a worm gear. The pedal assembly includes a pedal arm pivotally mounted to an inner arm. A jack screw extends between the inner arm and pedal arm. The jack screw has a pinion portion on one end which is driven by the worm gear of the pivot shaft. A threaded portion of the jack screw is threadably received in a slide block mounted to the pedal arm. Rotation of the pivot shaft by a motor correspondingly turns the jack screw to adjust the position of the pedal.

摘要: An adjustable control pedal assembly (10) for a vehicle includes a bracket (12) adapted for mounting on the vehicle, an adjustment member (30) pivotally attached to the bracket (12), and a control mechanism (14) mounted to the adjustment member (30), for pivotal movement of the adjustment member (30) about a first axis (34) generally horizontal and transverse to the vehicle, and a pedal arm (16) attached to the control mechanism (14) for pivotal movement relative thereto about a second axis (52) parallel to the first axis (34). The control mechanism (14) includes an electronic control means (66) responsive to the degree of relative movement of the adjustment member (30) and the pedal arm (16) to produce a control signal proportional to such movement, and a motor (18) mounted on the bracket (12) adjacent the control mechanism (14), and a drive means (20) connecting the motor (18) to the control mechanism (14) for moving the control mechanism (14) and pedal arm (16) as a unit.

摘要: An adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly for a vehicle which includes a throttle pedal arm and support arm pivotally mounted to a bracket. An electronic throttle control unit is mounted to the bracket at the pivot point of the pedal arm assembly. A first adjustment drive mechanism extends in a space formed between the support arm and throttle pedal arm. The adjustable brake and throttle pedal assembly also includes a brake pedal arm mounted to the bracket. A second adjustment mechanism is operatively attached to the brake pedal arm. The second adjustment mechanism is operatively connected to the first adjustment mechanism, to cooperatively position the throttle pedal arm and the brake pedal arm at a selected position between a retracted position and an extended position.

摘要: An electronically controlled pedal assembly with hysteresis includes a housing having a front wall and an arcuate friction wall having a radius of curvature centered on a pedal arm pivot point and extending from an edge of the front wall. The pedal assembly also includes a pedal arm rotatably supported at the pedal arm pivot point by a mounting means operatively connected to the housing, and a hysteresis generating means pivotally mounted to the pedal arm. The pedal assembly further includes a spring positioned between the housing and the hysteresis generating means, such that the spring biases the hysteresis generating means against the housing, so that depression of the pedal arm compresses the spring while generating an increasing frictional hysteresis force between the arcuate friction wall and the hysteresis generating means that is translated back through the pedal arm, and release of the pedal arm reduces the frictional hysteresis force.

摘要: A variable ratio brake pedal assembly includes a support bracket having a mounting face and two spaced apart side arms extending from opposing edges of the mounting face. The brake pedal assembly also includes a pedal arm pivotally mounted to the support bracket at a first pivot point, and having a pedal pad mounted to a lower end of the pedal arm. The brake pedal assembly also includes a pedal link having a first end and a second end, such that the first end is pivotally connected to the pedal arm at a third pivot point, and a brake booster link having a first end and a second end, and the first end of the brake booster link is pivotally mounted to the second end of the pedal link at a fourth pivot point and the second end of said brake booster link is pivotally mounted to the support bracket at a second pivot point. The brake pedal assembly further includes a brake booster rod attaching means located on the brake booster link at a fifth pivot point, such that the fifth pivot point is located on the brake booster link so that a distance between the second pivot point and the fifth pivot point is less than a distance between the second pivot point and the fourth pivot point.

An electronic throttle control unit is mounted to the bracket at the pivot point of the pedal arm assembly. The pedal arm carries an elongated curved pedal. Depression of the pedal pivots the pedal arm assembly to turn a blade connected to the ETC unit to generate a signal indicative of the position of the pedal arm.
