    摘要: An automotive vehicle includes a body having a passenger compartment and at least one pedal box for controlling vehicle acceleration or braking. The pedal box is movably coupled to an interior structural point disposed within the passenger compartment and movable between first and second positions with respect to the structural point. At least one pedal, actuatable by an occupant, is coupled to the pedal box. The vehicle additionally includes an actuator operably coupled to the pedal box and configured to selectively move the pedal box between the first position and the second position. The vehicle further includes at least one controller. The controller is configured to, in response to satisfaction of a first operating condition, control the actuator to move the pedal box to the first position, and, in response to satisfaction of a second operating condition, control the actuator to move the pedal box to the second position.

    摘要: A variable ratio brake pedal assembly includes a support bracket having a mounting face and two spaced apart side arms extending from opposing edges of the mounting face. The brake pedal assembly also includes a pedal arm pivotally mounted to the support bracket at a first pivot point, and having a pedal pad mounted to a lower end of the pedal arm. The brake pedal assembly also includes a pedal link having a first end and a second end, such that the first end is pivotally connected to the pedal arm at a third pivot point, and a brake booster link having a first end and a second end, and the first end of the brake booster link is pivotally mounted to the second end of the pedal link at a fourth pivot point and the second end of said brake booster link is pivotally mounted to the support bracket at a second pivot point. The brake pedal assembly further includes a brake booster rod attaching means located on the brake booster link at a fifth pivot point, such that the fifth pivot point is located on the brake booster link so that a distance between the second pivot point and the fifth pivot point is less than a distance between the second pivot point and the fourth pivot point.

    摘要: An adjustable pedal unit for a motor vehicle comprises a first plate onto which are mounted at least the accelerator pedal (2) and the footbrake pedal (3), said plate being mounted slidingly onto longitudinal guides inclined forwards upwards, so that in the most withdrawn position (referring to motor vehicle driving direction) of the pedal unit, the pedals are placed in a lower position, and conversely, in the most forward position of the pedal unit, the pedals are placed in a higher position. The driver's heels rest on a second plate (2) moving longitudinally together with the first plate (1) when the latter is adjusted in position, however always on a basically horizontal plane. It is preferably provided for an auxiliary footboard for resting the foot that does not actuate the accelerator and footbrake pedal (2, 3).

    摘要: An adjustable pedal apparatus for a motor vehicle. The apparatus includes a pedal that can be translated in a longitudinal fashion parallel to the vehicle floor. The pedal is translated by use of a screw that is threadedly attached to the pedal and also pivotally attached to a motion linkage. The position and movement of the motion linkage is uniform irrespective of the longitudinal position of the pedal. The pedal includes a pivot pin that is received by a slot formed in a body structure; translation of the pedal along screw causes longitudinal movement of the pivot pin the said slot. The pivot pin is free to translate within said slot while the pedal is not depressed, when the pedal is depressed the pivot pin becomes fixed longitudinally by a camming formation and locking element arrangement. This allows depression of the pedal to cause the pedal to pivot about the pivot pin.

    摘要: A pedal carrier (14) is movably supported by the support (12) for adjustment between various operational positions. The support (12) includes a rod (16) and the pedal carrier (14) is slidably supported on the rod (16). The carrier (12) includes an arm (30) extending from the support (12) and a fitting defining a first end (26) of a conduit (24) is retained in an aperture in the arm (30). A pedal lever (20) includes an actuator portion (38) extending upwardly from a pivotal pin (22) and a first end (34) of a core element (32) is attached to the actuator portion (38). The pedal lever (20) also includes a pedal portion (40) extending downwardly from the pivotal pin (22) so that the pin (22) acts as a fulcrum in response to a pedal force applied to the pedal portion (40) to place the core element (32) in tension. A boot (46) is disposed between the conduit (24) and the bulkhead (52) through which the conduit passes to seal the conduit (24) to the bulkhead as the conduit (24) is allowed to move longitudinally relative to the bulkhead (52).

    摘要: A pedal assembly (12) for a vehicle (10) includes a bracket (16), a pedal arm (20) and a support mechanism (26). The bracket (16) is adapted to be mounted to a vehicle structure (18) such as firewall or vehicle dashboard assembly. The pedal arm (20) extends downwardly from the bracket (16) to a distal end (22) for supporting a pedal pad (24). The support mechanism (26) interconnects the pedal arm (20) and the bracket (16) for allowing pivotal movement of the pedal arm (20) in an operating plane (28) relative to the bracket (16) during normal operation and for guiding the pedal arm (20) out of the operating plane (28) in response to a predetermined force between the pedal arm (20) and the bracket (16). Thus, under normal operation the pedal assembly (12) is pivotally moved between a rest position and a use position, but when the load exerted on the pedal pad (24) exceeds a pre-determined force the support mechanism (26) moves the pedal assembly (12) laterally with respect to the bracket (16) so that the pedal assembly (12) is moved away from a vehicle driver (14).
