Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to fast transition Wi-Fi roaming operations. A device may generate, during a first association of the device to a first access point, a request to authenticate the device to a second access point; send, during the first association, the request to authenticate; receive, during the first association, a response indicating that the device is authenticated to the second access point; generate, during the first association, a reassociation request to the second access point; determine that a time between sending the request to authenticate and generating the reassociation request is less than a threshold time; send, based on the determination that the time is less than the threshold time, the reassociation request to the second access point; and receive a reassociation response indicative of a second association of the device to the second access point.

A device may configure a single N×N transmit (TX)/receive (RX) radio to a plurality of 1×1 TX/RX radios, where N is a positive integer. The device may monitor a first channel of a plurality of channels to determine its availability. The device may monitor a second channel of the plurality of channels to determine its availability. The device may identify a first control frame received from an access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) on the second channel. The device may cause to send a second control frame to the AP MLD on the second channel. The device may configure back to a single N×N TX/RX radio to receive a data frame.

Abstract: Embodiments of an Extremely High Throughput Station (EHT STA) (STA1) configured for operating in a next-generation (NG) wireless local area network (WLAN) are described herein. In some embodiments, the EHT STA encodes a common signal field (SIG) (Coex-SIG) of an EHT PPDU to include a TXOP duration field. The TXOP duration field is more than seven bits to indicate an actual TXOP duration of a transmission from the EHT STA comprising the EHT PPDU transmitted to a second station (STA2). Decoding the TXOP duration field of the EHT PPDU by a third-party station (STA4) causes the third-party station (STA4) to defer a transmission until after an end of the transmission from the second station (STA2).

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to multi-link traffic steering. A device may establish one or more links with a station multi-link device (STA MLD), wherein the STA MLD comprises one or more logical entities defining separate station devices. The device may generate a traffic indication map (TIM) bitmap of a plurality of bits, wherein one or more bits are associated with an association identification (AID) corresponding to the STA MLD. The device may set the one or more bits to a first value to indicate that there is data to be retrieved by the STA MLD on any of the one or more links. The device may generate one or more beacon frames each comprising a same TIM element, wherein the TIM element comprises the TIM bitmap. The device may cause to send one or more beacon frames on each of the one or more links.

The device may use a link bitmap field included in a frame, wherein the link bitmap field comprises a first bit associated with the first STA and a second bit associated with the second STA. The device may communicate with the non-AP MLD based on the link bitmap.

Abstract: Embodiments of an AP and wake up radio (WUR) non-AP station (STA) are generally described herein. The AP may transmit a WUR packet to wake up a wireless local area network (WLAN) radio of the WUR non-AP STA. A non-WUR portion of the WUR packet may include legacy fields and a BPSK mark to spoof high throughput (HT) devices receiving the WUR packet. The AP may transmit the BPSK mark in a channel that includes a lower guard band, a transmission bandwidth, and an upper guard band. The AP may encode the BPSK mark in accordance with: on-off keying (OOK) modulation in a center portion of the transmission bandwidth; and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) in a remaining portion of the transmission bandwidth that excludes the center portion.

A device may generate a first traffic indication map (TIM) with a first bitmap including a first indication that traffic is to be sent by a first access point (AP) device of the MLD to a first non-AP device of a second MLD using a first communication link. The device may generate a second TIM with a second bitmap including a second indication that no traffic is to be sent by a second AP device of the MLD to a second non-AP device of the second MLD using a second communication link. The device may send, using the first communication link, the beacon, the beacon including the first TIM and the second TIM. The device may send, using the first communication link, a data frame to the first non-AP device of the second MLD.
