摘要: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for determining whether an active unicast session can be re-used. One apparatus includes a transceiver and a processor that receives, e.g., from an internal application or operating system, a first request to establish a unicast session over a direct communication link to a first UE. Here, the first request indicates a source application-layer identifier of the apparatus and a target application-layer identifier of the first UE. The processor determines whether an active unicast session between the source application-layer identifier and the target application-layer identifier already exists. If an active unicast session between the source application-layer identifier and the target application-layer identifier already exists, then the processor re-uses the already-existing active unicast session. Otherwise, the processor establishes a new unicast session between the apparatus and the first UE.

One apparatus includes at least one memory and at least one processor that is configured to transmit a transport block (“TB”), receive, in response to the TB, downlink control information (“DCI”), the DCI comprising a new data indicator (“NDI”) field and a control field, the NDI field comprising a value that indicates that the transmission of the TB was unsuccessful and the control field comprising a value that indicates not to perform a retransmission of the TB, and triggers at least one action to increase a transmission reliability for a subsequent TB.

One apparatus includes a transceiver and a processor coupled with the transceiver, the processor configured to cause the apparatus to transmit sidelink data to each of one or more UEs of a set of UEs and to receive SL feedback from each of the one or more UEs of the set of UEs, the sidelink feedback comprising HARQ feedback indicating a HARQ positive acknowledgement or a HARQ negative acknowledgement. Via the transceiver, the processor transmits an uplink message to a network entity, the uplink message comprising an aggregate of the received sidelink feedback from each of the one or more UEs of the set of UEs.

One method includes determining whether a current new data indicator in a current sidelink grant matches a last received new data indicator in a last received sidelink grant for a first hybrid automatic repeat request process. The method includes, in response to determining that the current new data indicator does not match the last received new data indicator, determining whether a negative acknowledgement has been transmitted in response to the last received sidelink grant.

One apparatus includes a transceiver and a processor that determines a DRX configuration that is to be used towards a peer UE, where the DRX configuration includes an active time during which sidelink data is exchanged with the peer UE. The processor determines a set of resources for sidelink communication and identifies an intersection of the active time and the set of resources. The transceiver transmits to the peer UE an indication of the identified intersection of the active time and the set of resources.
