Here, each slice-specific RACH configuration contains a set of random access parameters specific to a slice group identity. The processor (1005) selects (1215) a first RACH configuration for a first network slice based on the mapping and performs (1220) a random-access procedure in accordance with the first RACH configuration. Via the transceiver (1025), the processor (1005) transmits (1225) a service request to the communication network in accordance with the first RACH configuration.

A communications manager establishes that a hybrid automatic repeat request process associated with the first PUSCH transmission is pending so as to preclude performance of the first PUSCH transmission in response to determinations that the first PUSCH transmission is associated with a gNB channel occupancy time (COT), there is a time gap between the downlink transmission burst within the gNB-COT, and the first PUSCH transmission is smaller than a time gap threshold.

The processor (605) is configured to cause the UE (600) to receive a group handover configuration comprising a first identifier and a second identifier, the first identifier for a group of UE apparatuses and the second identifier for the UE apparatus within the group of UE apparatuses. In one embodiment, the processor (605) is configured to cause the UE (600) to receive a group handover command message based on the first identifier. In one embodiment, the processor (605) is configured to cause the UE (600) to perform handover of the UE apparatus to a target cell in response to determining that the group handover command comprises handover information for the UE apparatus based on the second identifier.
