Systems and method are disclosed for internal matching and configuration of radio frequency communication modules and antenna systems within a portable information handling system to help alleviate contentions among wireless communication technologies. A database stores operational information associated with wireless communication radio modules and antenna systems. A central control and switching module then matches and configures antenna systems and communication modules based upon stored operational information. The stored information can include device requirements, regional communication requirements, communication protocols and/or any other desired operational information. Flexibility is thereby provided for wireless communications, and worldwide intelligent access is allowed to radio frequency (RF) spectrums while adhering to localized spectrum and regulatory policies.

Systems and methods are provided that may be implemented to utilize multiple sensors to intelligently control RF transmit power and specific absorption rate (SAR) produced from a wireless-enabled information handling system platform in the presence of a detected nearby human body. The disclosed systems and methods may be implemented in one example to avoid the poor performance and user experience that results from a reduction in the information handling system platform radio transmit power when it is not necessary (due to false detection of a human body), or that results when the platform transmit power is reduced too much and/or too quickly when nearby proximity of an actual human body is detected.

The performance setting of one wireless technology may be manually adjusted and the impact on other wireless technologies can be a graphical displayed or numerical display. Adjustments can be made by a user or a platform designer. In a preset mode, a user make select between preset performance settings that are graphically displayed. In an advanced mode, adjustments to wireless performance characteristics of all the wireless interfaces on a specific platform may be selectively made with the relative effects on other wireless interfaces graphically displayed.

A SIM module system may be locked with a generic locking code to lock a SIM module system of a given information handling system for use with a designated SIM smart card that is programmed with a matching generic locking code. The locked SIM module system of the information handling system may be further configured so that it may be unlocked using an unlocking code so as to allow use of the information handling system with SIM smart cards other than the designated SIM smart card. To allow tracking of the disposition of the designated SIM smart card, notification of the non-activation, de-activation and/or activation of the designated SIM smart card (e.g., to an activation tracking agent) may be required before obtaining the unlocking code, for example, from an activation tracking agent.

The secure in-band pairing of wireless UWB devices over a UWB radio link provides considerable advantages over prior secure pairing techniques.
