摘要: Inkjet printing of barcodes is enhanced by several methods. In a printhead having two staggered columns of nozzles, using only the even (or odd) column enhances resolution of a vertical barcode element. Filling interior portions of the barcode element with the odd (or even) column improves barcode appearance. Barcode swelling, due to ink migration after application, is reduced by use of a depletion matrix to lessen the quantity of ink applied. Application of the depletion matrix to the edges of the barcode elements resists swelling where resolution is most required. Where a printing mask is applied to the edges of the barcode elements, the edges may be printed only by one column of printhead nozzles, or only during one direction of printhead movement, or both. Alternately, removal of one or more pixels along the edge of a barcode element allows each barcode element to swell to the desired size.

摘要: A printing system includes an ink reservoir, a support, a fluid conduit and a printhead assembly. The fluid conduit is fluidly coupled to the ink reservoir and includes a first fluid coupler. The printhead assembly includes a body configured to be releasably coupled to the support, a plurality of printheads coupled to the body including a first printhead and a second printhead, and a fluid passage fluidly coupled to both the first printhead and the second printhead. The fluid passage includes a second fluid coupler releasably coupled to the first fluid coupler.

摘要: Systems, methods, and devices are provided for printhead adjustment. In one apparatus embodiment, the apparatus includes an image scanning mechanism and a controller. The image scanning mechanism can provide positioning data about the position of drops of ink ejected onto media from nozzles of a number of stationary printheads. The controller can determine a Y axis offset of at least two ink drops based on the positioning data.

摘要: A method for evaluating an image forming device includes forming an object on a print medium. A light beam is scanned along a scan line that intersects the object. Reflectance data corresponding to the scan line is obtained. The image forming device is evaluated according to the reflectance data.

摘要: A method of one embodiment of the invention is disclosed that reduces misalignment of a pair of stationary fluid ejector assemblies positioned along a first axis perpendicular to a second axis along which media moves past the assemblies. The method reduces misalignment of the pair of stationary fluid ejector assemblies along the second axis. First fluid lines are output at a first period by one of the assemblies, and second fluid lines are output at a second period greater than the first period by another of the assemblies. A fluid ejection delay of at least one of the assemblies is adjusted based on which of the second fluid lines is substantially aligned with which of the first fluid lines along the second axis.
