摘要: The invention describes a laser-based light source (100) which is adapted to use the angular dependence of the reflection of polarized laser light (10) at a surface of a conversion material to control especially the color point of light emitted by means of the laser-based light source (100). The reflected laser light is within a first wavelength range and the converted light is in a second wavelength range different from the first wavelength range such that the color point of the light emitted by means of the laser-based light source (100) in a defined solid angle depends on the ratio between reflected and converted light. The invention further describes a corresponding method of light emission control, a vehicle headlight (200) comprising such a laser-based light source (100) and a lighting system comprising such vehicle headlights (200).

摘要: An illumination device comprises one or several lasers emitting light of a first wavelength or wavelength range, a wavelength converting member converting at least part of the light of the first wavelength or wavelength range into light of a second wavelength or wavelength range, a scanning unit adapted to scan one or several laser beams of said one or several lasers across said wavelength converting member in order to generate an illumination pattern formed at least of the light of the second wavelength or wavelength range, and, optionally, an imaging optics imaging said illumination pattern to the far field. A first light guiding structure is arranged on a light emitting side of said wavelength converting member, said first light guiding structure forming a grid of first light guiding channels. The illumination device can be used as an adaptive headlamp of a vehicle and achieves a high contrast between illuminated and dark regions as well as a high efficiency with a small projection optics.

摘要: The present inventions relates to an illumination device, in particular for a vehicle headlight. The device comprises at least one light source, a wavelength converting member converting at least part of the light of the light source to light of a different wavelength, a first and a second light guiding element between the light source and the wavelength converting member, and a reflective member being attached to the wavelength converting member. The second light guiding element is designed to guide the light emitted by the light source and having passed through the first light guiding element to the wavelength converting member and to guide the converted light which has been reflected at the reflective member to the first light guiding element. The first light guiding element comprises at least one first guiding structure guiding the light emitted by the light source to the second light guiding element. The first light guiding element also comprises at least one second guiding structure guiding the converted light which has been passed through the second guiding structure to an outcoupling surface of the first light guiding element. The proposed illumination device allows the use of light sources with high luminance and can be realized in a compact manner.

摘要: The invention describes a light conversion module (100) comprising a transparent substrate (120), a conversion layer (110) attached to a light exit side of the substrate (120), wherein the conversion layer (110) is arranged to convert a part of laser light (10) of a first wavelength range entering the substrate (120) via a light entrance side to converted laser light (20) of a second wavelength range different from the first wavelength range, and to transmit another part of the laser light (10), such that a mixture of the transmitted laser light (15) and of a part of the converted laser light (20) leaves the conversion layer (110) in forward direction opposite to the side where the conversion layer (110) is attached to the light exit side of the substrate (120), and wherein the substrate (120) is arranged such that converted laser light (20) entering the substrate via the light exit side is inhibited to re-enter the conversion layer (110) via the light exit side by arranging a thickness of the substrate (120) perpendicular to the light exit side such that the converted laser light (20) entering the substrate which is totally reflected at the light entrance side of the substrate (120) does not hit the conversion layer (110) after one total reflection at the light entrance side. The invention further describes a laser-based light source (200), especially an automotive headlight, comprising such a light conversion module (100). The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such a light conversion module (100).
